Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch Release Date Leaked Online

Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch

While fans are desperately waiting for the release of Metroid Prime 4, we now have a brand new rumor that a Metroid Prime Trilogy might be heading to Nintendo Switch next month. This new rumor comes from Swedish Retailer Inet. Inet earlier leaked the remaster in 2018 however this time around, the retailer is listing a release date for the game for June 19, 2020.

If this is correct, we cannot wait to jump back in Metroid Prime once again. This could ultimately lead to more news of Metroid Prime 4 as well. Nintendo might be getting fans ready for Metroid Prime 4 with the release of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Note that the last Metroid Prime game, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released way back in 2007 so getting the Metroid Prime Trilogy at this time is a good way to revisit the franchise and refresh our memories if Nintendo plans on releasing Metroid Prime 4 soon.

This news was first reported by VG247 and according to their article, Inet has updated the release date for Metroid Prime Trilogy for Nintendo Switch and it is slated for June 19, 2020. Check out the snapshot of game’s listing page on Inet below:

This is not the first time that we are getting the Metroid Prime Trilogy. The Trilogy has been out previously on GameCube, Wii, and Wii U as well. So it makes perfect sense that Nintendo is now planning to release on Nintendo Switch as well because currently it is the company’s flagship device and since it has sold millions of units, there is no better time to release it on the console as many players, including us, would love to visit the game again.

Metroid Prime was in a bad shape until January 2019 when Nintendo announced that the development of the much-awaited game has once again resumed after the delay. Due to some early development problems, Nintendo announced that the game has now a brand new developer and the development is now in full swing. Still, things have been pretty much quite at Nintendo and not much news has been announced about the game ever since.
