Saber Interactive has released Contraband, the second DLC for its port management simulation game Docked. Available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, the update introduces a new investigation storyline, additional jobs, a drivable forklift, and a cargo inspection system that expands the game’s day-to-day port operations.
The Contraband DLC is included at no additional cost for players who own either the New Horizons expansion pack or the Deluxe Edition of the game.
The new content shifts the focus from routine cargo handling to a criminal investigation after a suspicious shipping container threatens Port Wake’s bid to achieve International Port status. Players take on the role of a port inspector tasked with identifying illegal goods before they enter the harbor, adding a new layer of responsibility to the simulation.
The new DLC also brings the ability to scan the cargo inside a container. Using an X-ray scanner, players examine containers for hidden contraband, reporting illegal shipments to the authorities while helping restore the port’s damaged reputation. The investigation unfolds through a new story mission alongside 12 additional jobs centered on moving pallets, inspecting cargo, and supporting the ongoing inquiry.
To support these new tasks, the DLC introduces the forklift as a new drivable vehicle. Unlike the larger heavy machinery already available in Docked, the forklift emphasizes speed and maneuverability, making it better suited for transporting pallets between storage areas and inspection points. It also complements the game’s existing equipment lineup, working alongside vehicles such as the Straddle Carrier, Reach Stacker, Mobile Harbor Crane (MHC), Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) Crane, Ship-to-Shore (STS) Crane, and Rail-Mounted Gantry (RMG) Crane.
Since its release, Docked has focused on recreating the logistics of modern port operations through a combination of cargo management, heavy machinery operation, and mission-based objectives. The Contraband expansion continues to build on those systems by introducing investigative gameplay while expanding the variety of tasks available to players.
The new DLC follows the previously released Deep Waters expansion, with both add-ons included as part of the New Horizons expansion pack and the game’s Deluxe Edition. In addition to the digital expansion, Saber Interactive has confirmed that Docked Deluxe Edition will receive a physical release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on October 22.
The Contraband DLC is available now for Docked on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players who own the New Horizons expansion pack or the Deluxe Edition can download the update immediately, while the physical Deluxe Edition arrives on October 22.
