During the main campaign of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you will come across various Cobra Units, which are powerful enemies, and they serve as the game’s bosses. These fights are tougher, harder to understand, and you will need to dish out everything you have to win against them. Each boss has its own strengths and weaknesses, and you will need to exploit them to win against them. In addition, you can defeat each boss in two ways, lethally and non-lethally, and defeating the bosses non-lethally will allow you to acquire some additional gear for your inventory as well. This Metal Gear Solid Delta Boss Battles Guide details everything you need to know to defeat all bosses in the game lethally and non-lethally.
Boss Battles Guide – Metal Gear Solid Delta
We will start this guide by first listing some useful items that you should have in your inventory to make the battles easy. You must know that the boss guides and some item descriptions below will have STORY SPOILERS, so avoid this guide if you want to experience everything on your own.
Useful Items for Boss Battles
- Mk22 – If you want to take down all bosses and enemies non-lethally, this should be your primary weapon of choice. It not only allows you to take down bosses and enemies without killing them, but it can also help you stun animals, which then can be collected later for consumption. If you choose the Very Easy difficulty, this will be in your inventory right from the start of the game but otherwise, you can get it in Rassvet when EVA gives it to you.
- Chaff Grenade – You can find this after your aircraft is destroyed by The Boss in Dremuchij South. When the guards start running towards you, head in the opposite direction to reach the area where the Virtuous Mission started. Here, go left over the log and you will find the Chaff Grenade here.
- Thermal Goggles – Another great, useful item that allows you to see hard-to-see enemies and animals hiding behind thick foliage. You can get these in Rassvet, stashed in the locker in the same room where you meet Sokolov, and EVA gives you the Mk22.
- Smoke Grenades – In Dolinovodno, cross the big bridge and then turn around to go under it. These are sitting inside an alcove under the bridge next to a rifle.
- SVD – The SVD is another great weapon, and you can acquire it in Ponizovje West. When you come across the flying hovercraft enemies, hug the left wall and continue until you come to a path. Continue on this path until you reach an area with three guards and a yellow door. The SVD is sitting behind this yellow door.
- Mosin Nagant – This is another great weapon that complements the Mk22 with increased damage. However, you acquire this powerful weapon, you must defeat The End boss non-lethally in Sokrovenno South. Our guide on how you can do it is linked below.
- RPG-7 – This is not the weapon for subtlety because it shoots rockets, and they explode on impact, making loud noises. However, if you want to go all guns blazing, the RPG-7 is your choice, and you can acquire it in the Krasnogorje Mountainside. Before leaving the area, you will come across three buildings. The RPG-7 is sitting in the right-most building.
