Ocelot is the first boss in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and it serves more as a tutorial boss. While the game offers you open-world levels to explore, the boss fights take place in tight, close-quarters, even in open areas, which are cordoned off until the boss is defeated. This Metal Gear Solid Delta Ocelot Boss Battle Guide will help you defeat Ocelot easily, both lethally and non-lethally.
Ocelot Boss Battle Guide – Metal Gear Solid Delta
You can defeat Ocelot both lethally and non-lethally, provided that you have proper equipment. Ocelot might be a tutorial boss, but he has some moves up his sleeve that make him a worthy opponent. Every time Ocelot runs out of ammo and reloads his revolver, his overall speed is increased. Which means that he will move quickly, he will shoot quickly, and his future reloads will be quicker as well. This happens every time he reloads.
If you have been collecting weapons and items until you encounter him, you will have a decent arsenal in your inventory to engage him in multiple ways. There are a few environmental hazards in this arena that you can use to your advantage and distract the boss for a small time. You can shoot off his beret, shoot the Markhor roaming in the area, which will start running around and distract the boss or shoot the beehive behind the boss, which will swarm him. Try to distract the boss when he begins reloading to delay him.
Lethal Takedown:
For lethal takedowns, there are no requirements. You can use any weapon, but you should try to land as many headshots as possible. At the start of the battle, there is a small opening ahead with some rocks separating you and the boss. Try to stick behind the rocks to avoid incoming fire and take as many headshots with your primary weapon as you can, but keep in mind that the longer this battle lasts, the more deadly the boss becomes, as his speed in every aspect is increased. Keep shooting at his head with any available weapons, and you will soon defeat him.
Non-Lethal Takedown:
For taking down Ocelot non-lethally, you will need to stick to using the Mk22 tranquilizer because it will take out the boss’s stamina gradually. You can use the same rocks we described above for cover and try to land as many headshots as possible. If you manage to land all hits as headshots with the Mk22, you will defeat the boss with eight headshots.
