Publisher 101XP and developer Synthetic Domain have announced the launch of Lords of Ravage: Dread Knights on PC. Lords of Ravage: Dread Knights is a prologue to the highly anticipated upcoming tactical RPG Lords of Ravage. This 2.5D pixel-art dark fantasy game introduces you to a world where you take on the role of villains commanding armies, battling heroes, and seeking ultimate power. Available for free on Steam, this standalone prologue offers a glimpse into the larger Lords of Ravage experience.
In Dread Knights, you assume the role of Berold, one of the Lords of Ravage and the commanding force behind the Knights of Terror. Disillusioned with the weak leadership of the kingdom, Berold embarks on a ruthless quest for dominance. With cunning strategy, dark magic, and an army of loyal minions, you will guide Berold as he seeks to claim a powerful artifact capable of reshaping the world.

The game features a rich narrative set in a fully explorable region, complete with 20 unique locations teeming with mystery, danger, and resources. You will assemble their forces from a diverse roster of nine minions, each belonging to factions like the Dark Alliance or Mercenary Guild and equipped with distinct skills and weaknesses. The heart of the gameplay lies in tactical, turn-based combat, where you wield 17 strategic Orders to gain the upper hand in battle.
Adding depth to the experience, Dread Knights introduces rare relics—ten collectible artifacts that enhance armies and instill fear in adversaries. You will also face 15 unique enemy types, each presenting distinct challenges that test strategy and adaptability.
As a prologue, Dread Knights offers an engaging blend of exploration, resource management, and combat, with procedurally generated locations ensuring each playthrough feels fresh. You can undermine kingdoms’ political and economic structures, collect gold, unlock magical powers, and upgrade their armies—all while carving a path toward becoming the ultimate antagonist.
