Kenshiro Joins FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as Season 2's Final DLC Fighter

SNK has announced the launch of Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star as the final DLC fighter for FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Season 2. The character arrives three months after his original reveal at AnimeJapan 2026, and his launch coincides with the new Fist of the North Star: HOKUTO NO KEN anime currently airing in Japan and internationally. SNK has also confirmed that Season 3 is set to begin in July 2026.

As the successor to the Hokuto Shinken assassination art, Kenshiro brings a fast and technical moveset built around point activations, status changes, and strong combo potential. He’s designed to control space effectively and keep opponents guessing, with hard-hitting strikes capable of ending fights quickly.

Bio: Post-apocalyptic savior with seven distinctive scars carved onto his chest. As sole successor to the ultimate assassination art, Hokuto Shinken, he treads a perilous path; indeed, a dangerous yearning for Hokuto Shinken by unknown forces is what calls him to the forsaken City of the Wolves in the first place. Though worlds collide and divide, Kenshiro’s crusade against evil never wavers. To the weak, lost, and broken, he extends a helping hand; to those who prey on them, he metes out merciless justice.

Arcade Mode: Kenshiro stirs and slowly takes in the unfamiliar surroundings. This is not the desolate urban wilderness he calls home, but a modern-day metropolis: South Town. A city where the weak suffer, and tyrants run rampant. Kenshiro clenches his fists and (together with like-minded heroes Terry, Hokutomaru, and Hotaru) pledges to enter the new King of Fighters tournament. He has but one goal: to confront Wolfgang Krauser, who treats the city as his own personal dominion.
Episodes of South Town: Kenshiro wakes in South Town and meets Terry, Mai, and other resident fighters. Then it dawns on him: a mysterious miasma permeates the city streets, and it’s up to him to find out why. Steeling his resolve, the post-apocalyptic warrior sets off into the darkness that is the City of the Wolves.

Players who already own the base game can add Kenshiro to their roster with Season Pass 2 for $19.99. FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Legend Edition bundles Season Pass 1 and 2 bundles everything released for the game so far in one convenient bundle and is currently offered for $29.99 with a 40% discount.
