This Subnautica 2 guide details how you can unlock power storage blueprints and craft special units to preserve power. In Subnautica 2, your base alone is nothing. You need power to unlock its true potential. There are different ways to keep your base powered, and unlocking the Power Storage module is one of them. This device stores excess energy produced by your base for later use. This is especially useful at night or when your power generation slows down.
Power Storage Guide – Subnautica 2
Power Storage device is designed to collect unused electricity from your base energy systems and keep it available for later use. For example, if your base is producing more power than it is consuming, the extra energy gets transferred into these storage units.
During the night or in areas with limited energy generation, the stored power will help you. However, if you already have a strong setup with turbines constantly generating electricity, you may not rely on it as much.
To unlock the blueprint, you need to scan two separate Power Storage fragments.
Power Storage Fragment Location# 1
You need to start from the lifepod. Make your way to the southwest direction. Roughly goes about 265 metres ahead.
As you continue moving and reach 265 metres, watch the area to your right side. You will eventually spot a structure that you can enter.

Swim inside the facility and look along the wall on the right-hand side. The first Power Storage fragment is attached there and ready to scan.
Scan the first fragment. After scanning it, you will still need one more fragment before the blueprint unlocks.
Power Storage Fragment Location# 2
For the second fragment, return to the lifepod area and travel southeast for about 378m. Keep following the route until you reach a section where the terrain changes and large rock pillars become visible nearby.

Once you arrive, look downward and find a large opening leading deeper underground. Swim into this hole and continue descending until you discover a location called the Hot Cave Base Camp.

Enter the camp and swim further inside. From there, take a right turn, then another right shortly after. The second Power Storage fragment will be placed inside this base area. Scan it to complete the blueprint requirement.
After collecting both scans, the Power Storage blueprint will become available for crafting, which helps you with your energy resources. That is all for this guide. Additional Subnautica 2 guides are linked below:
