This quest takes you through the Evacuation Zone to find the person responsible for setting traps. You will need to survive a dangerous route, recover Olivia and Granny, and investigate the whereabouts of the survivalist’s missing brother.
Urban Survival Quest Guide – Control Resonant
Begin by travelling to the road marked on the map in the Evacuation Zone. The quest begins when you pick up the document from the object at the quest location. Head straight to the nearby parking garage filled with traps. Make your way through by jumping over the hazards or moving past them quickly.
Keep an eye out for chests along the route, as there are several you can loot before leaving. Move across to the other side of the garage and exit near the checkpoint.
Once you’re outside, head towards the building marked on the map as 1. Turn left to find a doorway with a light above it. Enter the building and take a left turn to enter a room, where you have to interact with the intercom.
Speak with the survivalist and finish the conversation. This will trigger a fight against the Hiss. Defeat the enemies, then return to the intercom to speak with the survivalist again and receive your next tasks. The survivalist will ask you to locate Olivia and Granny. Start by heading to the gym marked on your map.
Enter the gym and go through the first door directly ahead of you. Once inside, check the left side of the room to find Olivia in plant form on the desk. Interact with her to complete this objective.
Next, travel to the marked apartment building on the map to retrieve Granny.
You can enter through either the upper or lower entrance. If you use the lower entrance, take the elevator to reach the relevant area.
Go through the door on the left leading into the survivalist’s home. Move to the left, then turn left again when you reach the back-left corner. You’ll find Granny there on the desk next, ready to be collected.
With both items recovered, return to the survivalist’s bunker using the same entrance you visited earlier. Be careful as you pass through the area, since mines are scattered along the route.
Once you reach the bunker, interact with the intercom outside the door. Place Olivia and Granny on the table beside the intercom, then interact with the table again to proceed. After returning the items, turn around and look for the door the survivalist has opened. Go inside and search the room for a table holding the car key.
Pick up the key, as it will help you locate the survivalist’s brother and continue the investigation. Your next stop is the car, which is near the Railyard Street Station located in the top area of the map.
Travel to the location and use the car key to make the vehicle beep if you need help finding it. It will be in the middle of this region once you move ahead after travelling there. When you reach the car, interact with its door and search inside. You will obtain the apartment key, which you will need to access the building where the survivalist’s brother is located.
With the apartment key collected, head down the road towards the apartment building on your right-hand side on the map. Open the entrance and use the elevator to travel upstairs.
There is a chest nearby that you can loot before entering the apartment. Once inside, look for the survivalist’s brother, who is floating in the room. You will also find a memento photograph on the ground. Pick it up before heading back.
Make your way back to the bunker and interact with the intercom outside the entrance. Continue through the dialogue with the survivalist, then place the photograph on the table beside the door. Once you’ve handed over the memento, the Urban Survival side quest will be complete.
