This Mortal Shell 2 guide explains how you can complete the Illusionist Cache Dungeon in the game easily. It covers how to reach the dungeon, solve its platform and portal puzzle, and collect the rewards. Knowing the correct sequence of doing things is important and will make clearing the dungeon much easier because this area has things that change the layout around you.
Illusionist Cache Dungeon Guide – Mortal Shell 2
The best way to reach the Illusionist Cache Dungeon is by going towards the Citadel of Penance. From here, you can cross the bridge and use the nearby teleporters to reach the section containing the dungeon entrance.
After arriving at the right place, proceed through the portal, which will lead to an elevator. Use it to enter and go down through the dungeon. At the beginning of the dungeon, you’ll find a closed wall and several enemies that you don’t need to engage with. Simply walk through the nearby portal, and the path on the left will open.
Go into the next room and lean towards the left side; there are some boxes, and there’s a symbol on the wall. Use the boxes to interact with the wall and have it disappear.
Another way to reach this section is by passing through the hole below and then using the elevator pad to move up.
Next, walk up the stairs and move into the next area. Here you will see a new set of boxes that you must break to reveal the next area. Once the boxes have been cleared, you will see a portal appear with a bell in it that you will need to shoot with your sidearm.
After shooting the bell, walk through the portal to make the platform appear. Then, walk behind the nearby pillar and push the pillar on the platform that appeared after you shot the bow with your sidearm.
When the pillar is correctly positioned on the platform, make your way back around to the portal. The pillar will hold the mechanism that will allow you to use the side passage. Continue to go through the opening until you reach a chest, which, upon opening, will reward you with Shattering Stone.
Once you get the Shattering Stone, look for a Lavender’s Robe nearby, which is a new Mortal Clothing unlock. After picking both, break the wall ahead to enter another room, which contains a Gloom, followed by another wall that you will break to enter the last room of the dungeon. In this room, you will find a Dorsalite item. Pick up the item to complete the Illusionist Cache Dungeon and get the rewards that are provided along the way.
