Polyphony Digital has been supporting Gran Turismo Sport ever since it was released and every update has added more content to the game along with fixes and improvements. The latest update released by Polyphony for Gran Turismo Sport is the version 1.41 and it brings 5 new cars to the game along with some new events to race in as well. Sadly, no new track has been added to the game with the latest update.
The brand new cars added to Gran Turismo Sport mostly belong to the classic times of the automotive world. We have some of the most solid classic race cars to one of the most legendary tuner cars from the late 90s. The cars added to GT Sport in the new update are
- 1966 Honda S800 – N100
- 1998 Honda Civic Type R (EK) – N200
- 1954 Jaguar D-type – Gr.X
- Mazda Roadster Touring Car – N200
- 1981 Porsche 911 Turbo – N300
The Porsche 911 Turbo and the 98’Honda Civic Type R added in the latest update belong to the list of my most favorite cars from the auto world. The 81’ Porsche 911 Turbo is the one they called ‘Widowmaker’ because of its excessive power spurts right after the turbo-lag which caused the car to spin out very quickly giving the driver extremely low time and space to correct the insane amount of power.
The Honda Civic Type R from 1998 is the most loved tuner in the whole world. We have seen some of the craziest builds on this very chassis which have annihilated exotics at their own turf which is speed and acceleration. It is also part of the franchise ever since the beginning of the Gran Turismo so this is one of the icons of the Gran Turismo world.
Moving on to the events, we have five brand new GT League Events. Most of these events are catering to the new cars added to the game however who are we to complain. We love new events and we got them. The new cars will only make racing in these events more fun. There are no new tracks in this update however every GT Sport update is incomplete with some Scapes.
Polyphony has not forgotten about that and we now have a brand new Scapes location which favors open spaces where you can take some really cool and fresh pictures of your favorite cars. In addition, players can now complete the Circuit Experience of Sardegna Road Track A which was added to the game in the last update.
