According to a PlayStation ad on YouTube, Gran Turismo 7 might be released in the first half of 2021. The game was revealed as a first-party title for the PS5 console earlier this year when Sony revealed the console itself.
The release date video was uploaded by GT Elieanor, where the advertisement is written in French. The advertisement reads, “Sortie prévue pour la première moitié de 2021” which translates to “release scheduled for the first half of 2021.”
Sony has yet to confirm if Grant Turismo 7 will be released early in 2021, while the developer Polyphony Digital has not revealed any such plan for the game being released as early as the ad suggests. Although it is still a rumor, a Gran Turismo 7 release date anytime next year would be great for the console and the fans of the series.
The game was previously revealed at Sony’s PS5 console reveal event back in June. There is a lot of hype for the game as it promises to use the console’s full potential and features.
The seventh title in the series comes after the recent release of GT Sport, which was a new take in the series missing a lot of iconic features from the original numbered series. Gran Turismo 7 will bring in one of the most iconic circuits, The Trial Mountain back in the franchise. This could be seen in the reveal trailer for the game shown at the Sony event.
Last month, Sony confirmed that the title to target 4K resolution with 60 frames per second, with HDR and ray tracing. The information also stated that the console’s solid-state drive will improve the experience of gamers by enhancing both the online and the game’s menu. This probably means that the transition of menus, selecting cars and tracks, and loading up a race will be quicker than ever before.
