Free-to-Play Gran Turismo Experience My First Gran Turismo Announced

Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital and Sony have announced My First Gran Turismo, a free-to-play Gran Turismo experience launching this month. This free-to-play experience will allow new players to experience the racing world of Gran Turismo 7 without paying a single dime and experience it firsthand to see if they want to jump into the full game or not.

After the mixed reception of Gran Turismo Sport on the PS4, the Gran Turismo 7 is miles ahead of it in terms of quality and content, but it still lacks the reputation that this franchise once held, and this could be a great way to bring in new players and even give old fans a chance to try out the new game without any strings attached.

Compared to the full Gran Turismo 7 game, this is certainly lacking a lot of content. Still, it features 18 unique cars and some iconic tracks from the main game like Kyoto Driving Park, Deep Forest Raceway, and Trial Mountain Circuit. You will get to race these cars in three different Race Events, three Time Trials, and three Music Rally stages along with a full pack of License Tests which will allow you to learn the driving mechanics of the game.

This free version also supports PS VR2 which means that you can try out your fancy VR headset with this free game as well and experience how it feels to drive in the game in virtual reality.

My First Gran Turismo is slated for a release on December 6, 2025, on PS4 and PS5 and you will be able to download and play it for as long as you want. There is no time limit or any other restrictions on playing it. It is a free game with limited content whose main aim is to give you a taste of what you can expect on Gran Turismo 7 on a larger scale.
