Party-Based Deckbuilder Game Gordian Quest Kickstarter Announced for Console Launch

Interview: Mixed Realms

Developer Mixed Realms has announced the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for the console release of their party-based deckbuilder game Gordian Quest. Gordian Quest was released out of its early access launch last month on PC and now the developer wants to release the title on consoles as well. The console Kickstarter campaign of Gordian Quest is slated for release on July 23, 2022, and it will collect funds for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S launch of the game depending on the funding.

The developer has also released a new Kickstarter trailer for Gordian Quest that you can check out below:

Aldric Chang, CEO commented:

We’ve had a successful release on PC with over 90% positive rating on Steam and are excited to now bring Gordian Quest to console. We would like to give console owners interested in the game an opportunity to pick it up for a good discount along with other rewards through the Kickstarter campaign and at the same time help defray the costs of our porting efforts.

The Kickstarter will launch with a starting goal of $25,000 USD to help in the funding of the Nintendo Switch and the PS5 version of the game. If the primary goal is met, the developer will allocate any additional funds to their stretch goals which include new skins, weapons, a new island on the map, and finally an Xbox Series X|S port. To provide incentives to supporting players, there are several support tiers with bigger rewards for players going for higher tiers.

Apart from a digital copy of the game, backers can also get their names in the game credits, design an item or event, digital goodies or get a chance to name an NPC in the game as well. Early Bird backers who want to purchase the PC release of the game can also nab a $15 Steam key instead of the regular $19.99 once the campaign goes live. The PC version received additional content at its full release as well.

Let us know in the comments section below whether you would be interested in playing Gordian Quest on PC or would you wait for the console release of the title.
