Playground Games has announced the details of the upcoming Italian Exotics Update for Forza Horizon 6, and it is a chunky one. Forza Horizon 6 is continuing its post-launch support with one of its biggest content drops yet. The new Italian Exotics update is now rolling out across Xbox Series X|S, PC via the Xbox app, and Steam, introducing a new Festival Playlist packed with Italian supercars, a new premium Car Pack, an Aftermarket dealership takeover, dozens of new EventLab props, leaderboard changes, and a long list of gameplay improvements based on community feedback.
The update becomes available to download today across all platforms, while the Italian Exotics Festival Playlist begins on July 16. Alongside the free content, Playground Games is also releasing the Italian Passion Car Pack on July 14 at 3:00 PM UTC. The DLC is included with the Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade, while Standard Edition owners can purchase it separately through the Microsoft Store and Steam.
The Italian Passion Car Pack brings four new cars to Horizon Japan. Players will receive the 2025 Ferrari F80, Ferrari’s new 1,200-horsepower flagship hypercar built to celebrate the company’s 80th anniversary, alongside the ultra-rare 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB4 Spider, with only ten examples produced in real life. The pack also includes the track-focused 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm and the legendary 1990 Alfa Romeo SE 048SP, Alfa Romeo’s ambitious Group C prototype powered by a Ferrari-derived V12.
The free Festival Playlist also expands the game’s growing Italian roster with three cars making their Horizon debut. Players will be able to unlock the 2024 Lamborghini Temerario, Lamborghini’s hybrid successor to the Huracán, the 2022 Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder, and the classic 1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5. Returning reward cars throughout the four-week series include the 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB, 2004 Maserati MC12, 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO, 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale, 2020 Ferrari Roma, 2022 Pagani Huayra R, and 2017 Abarth 124 Spider.
The release schedule of these cars is:
- 2024 Lamborghini Temerario – Earn 80 Points during the Italian Exotics Festival Playlist (Series Reward)
- 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB – Earn 160 Points during the Italian Exotics Festival Playlist (Series Reward)
- 1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5 – Earn 20 Points during the Summer Season
- 2004 Maserati MC12 – Earn 40 Points during the Summer Season
- 2017 Abarth 124 Spider – Earn 20 Points during the Autumn Season
- 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO – Earn 40 Points during the Autumn Season
- 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale – Earn 20 Points during the Winter Season
- 2020 Ferrari Roma – Earn 40 Points during the Winter Season
- 2022 Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder – Earn 20 Points during the Spring Season
- 2022 Pagani Huayra R – Earn 40 Points during the Spring Season
Italian Exotics also takes over the Aftermarket dealership near Horizon Stadium in the Shimanoyama region. During the event, players can purchase a range of Italian performance cars, including six vehicles that are normally exclusive to Wheelspins. Those rare additions include the Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari 599XX Evolution, Ferrari F8 Tributo, Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, and Lamborghini Diablo GTR.
Creative players are also getting more tools to work with. The update introduces 52 new EventLab props, ranging from festival decorations and industrial assets to urban furniture, lighting, rural scenery, fences, and signage. Existing props have also received additional color variants, giving builders even more customization options for custom events, estates, and garages.
Away from new content, the update delivers several quality-of-life improvements based on community feedback. AI drivers should now be less aggressive when entering corners, the LINK Clean Sweep Skill has been fixed, Auction House price limits have been removed for vehicles unavailable in the Autoshow, and multiple exploits have been addressed, including AFK Auto Drive XP farming, Estate Skill Point farming, and Eliminator matchmaking exploits.
Playground Games has also taken significant action against illegitimate leaderboard records. All Rivals Leaderboards have been reset following fixes for several time-setting exploits and physics-related glitches. The studio acknowledged that legitimate lap times would also be removed but said the reset gives everyone a fair starting point going forward. Collection Journal rewards tied to Rivals remain unlocked, and the team has confirmed that PR Stunt leaderboards will also receive a full reset once additional exploit fixes are ready.
Players can also earn the new Tank Latte Cup Collectible during the second week of the Festival Playlist, while simply participating throughout the series unlocks a brand-new profile badge.
Another new long-term progression feature arrives with Series History Rewards. These rewards are tied to lifetime Festival Playlist Points rather than a single season. The first reward is the 1972 Mazda Cosmo 110S Series II, which becomes available after earning 500 lifetime Playlist Points. Players who have already reached that milestone through previous series will be able to unlock it immediately during Italian Exotics.
The update also expands the Car Pass, which continues delivering one new vehicle every week. Over the next month, subscribers will receive the 2003 Aston Martin DB7 GT, 1972 Nissan Patrol, 2024 Toyota Prius Prime XSE Premium, and 1972 Honda Z GT, with each vehicle automatically added to their garage. The release schedule of these cars is:
- 2003 Aston Martin DB7 GT – July 16
- 1972 Nissan Patrol – July 23
- 2024 Prius Prime XSE Premium – July 30
- 1972 Honda Z GT – August 6
Playground Games has already teased the next content update, Horizon Mascot Party, which will celebrate Japan’s iconic mascots with new cars, themed events, and another evolving Time Attack Circuit. The current Festival Playlist will end this Thursday, after which the new Italian Exotics Update will go live across all platforms. Forza Horizon 6 is currently available on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, along with XBOX Series X|S, XBOX Cloud, and XBOX Game Pass for both PC and XBOX consoles.
