Developer Pixel Crow Games and Atomic Wolf with publisher Movie Games have announced the release date of the upcoming tactical RTS Fire Commander. Fire Commander will release on July 27, 2022, and will be available on PC via Steam. A free prologue is currently available on Steam if you want to jump in and try out the game before its full release next month. Fire Commander is a fire fighting tactical RTS where you must head a group of firefighters and run your very own fire station. You will need to fight various types of fires in the 30+ action-packed missions ranging from small house fires to toxic spills or raging infernos requiring water to be dropped from helicopters or airplanes. The game will feature different vehicles for you to choose from, class specializations, and specialized fire fighting tools to use in each mission.
You will also have the freedom of combining them together and discovering multiple ways of completing each scenario. You will also have to keep other aspects of the scenario in check such as backdraft, smoke, materials with unique combustion temperatures, and more. You will also need to watch out for civilians trapped in the fires and rescue them. Your fire station will expand as you hire new firefighters, train them and send them on training missions to increase their mission effectiveness.
