Developer Gentlymad Studios and publisher Assemble Entertainment have announced the release of the latest update for Endzone 2. Endzone 2 is a post-apocalyptic city-builder, and the substantial update brings new content, gameplay refinement, and expanded plans for the game’s future. Available now to all players on PC via Steam, the November update brings a host of improvements, including revamped radiation mechanics, immersive opening sequences, and the addition of exciting new Expeditions.
One of the most notable changes in this update is a balancing overhaul to radiation behavior. Previously, radiation levels steadily increased, presenting challenges for you trying to manage their settlements. With the new adjustments, radiation levels are now more stable, and protective clothing has become significantly more effective, allowing for better environmental hazard management. Additionally, an enhanced introductory sequence has been added, making the start of new sessions more engaging and immersive.
The new update also adds a fresh Expedition called the “Endzone.” This mission sends you to explore an above-ground bunker and features a puzzle-based gameplay element, offering a unique challenge. Another new Expedition, set at a Military Base, incorporates a number-based puzzle, further diversifying the game’s mechanics. Alongside these features, the update includes a range of bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and minor tweaks to streamline the overall experience.
Assemble Entertainment has also updated the Endzone 2 roadmap, and it now provides a glimpse into the upcoming December 2024 update. This major update will reintroduce traders as a permanent feature, enhance the world with roaming wildlife, and implement hunting mechanics. You will also gain the ability to distribute electricity across zones, adding new layers of strategy to their settlements. Further details about the December update are expected to be revealed soon.
Endzone 2 is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam, where the developers are actively shaping the final version of the game alongside the players. As of now, it is sitting on a Mixed rating, and the developers are actively listening to player feedback and working to add new features, remove bugs, and bring enhancements across the board. Until December 4, the game is also offering a 25% discount, so you can get it cheaply during this period.
