Codemasters recently announced the second game after Dirt Rally which came out in 2015, Dirt Rally 2.0 which will launch on PC and consoles in February 2019.
Dirt Rally started its life as an Early Access title and Codemasters worked along with their fans who helped shape the final form of the amazing rally experience offered by Dirt Rally. It was a game made by Codemasters and continuous feedback by fans who purchased Early Access and made it a great rally simulator.
It was aimed at racers who were looking forward to experiencing real professional rally experience. Now with the announcement of Dirt Rally 2.0, we can expect same level of professional and authentic rally experience from the game, which made the first game special. This time around however, Codemasters might be developing the game on its own, as there has been no Early Access announcements so far.

It might be announced some time later but currently according to their official reveal, the game has a set release date for both PC and the consoles. Dirt Rally 2.0 will ditch the casual arcade/simulator rally driving of Dirt 4 released last year and will focus on professional, more hardcore rally experience.
This time around however, the main man behind the original Dirt Rally will not be around. Paul Coleman left Codemasters back in June 2018 so it is a test for Codemasters whether they will be able to keep the hardcore spirit of Dirt Rally alive or not. The game will feature licensed official FIA Rally cars, tracks as well as official World Rallycross Championship.
This time around eight official WRX tracks will be featured in the game such as USA, Australia, Spain, Argentina, Poland and New Zealand. Rallycross was originally featured in the first game as well where it was one of the best entertaining modes. This time around, it is returning to the game and sounds like it will be even better than before.
Dirt Rally 2.0 is scheduled to release in February 2019 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
