In this Days Gone Bike Upgrade Guide, we will show you all the types of upgrades you apply to Deacon’s bike, and how you can equip the upgrades. Deacon’s bike in Days Gone is his primary transportation vehicle that plays an important role in getting the character around in the open world.
Deacon is a great bike rider, but his abilities can be further increased by upgrading his bike with powerful upgrades. From the beginning, when you get your bike, you will also have access to a Mechanic. Mechanics are your primary source for motorcycle upgrades and can be found in the various Encampments throughout the map.
Days Gone Bike Upgrade Guide
In addition to giving you bike upgrades, the mechanic also repairs and refuels your bike. But this guide will focus solely on the bike upgrades that you can attach to the bike. At a Mechanic, you can upgrade the following aspects of Deacon’s Bike:
- Performance: Engine, Exhaust, Storage, Fuel Tank, Frame, Nitrous, Tires.
- Visual: Headlight, Wheels, Exhaust Tip, Front Fender, Shroud.
- Paint: Accent Paint, Frame Paint, Decals.
- Refuel: Refuel your bike.
- Repair: Repair your motorcycle if it is damaged.
Bike Performance Upgrades
To upgrade the bike in Days Gone, you want to focus on the Performance option. Here you will be able to upgrade various aspects of the bikes. We have listed the effects of each part below:
- Engine: This part increases the maximum speed of the bike.
- Exhaust: This part determines the distance at which enemies can hear the bike.
- Storage: This part enables you to carry more ammo refills on the bike.
- Fuel Tank: This upgrade increases the bike’s maximum fuel capacity
- Frame: This part contributes to the bike’s overall health.
- Nitrous: This upgrade allows the bike to go faster with a short burst of speed.
- Tires: This part determines the bike’s traction.
When you have enough credits in the camp that offers a specific part upgrade that you want, select the one that you prefer for your bike, and purchase it with Credits.
Other Upgrades
Other than increasing your bike’s performance, you can also change the visual features of the bike. From the Mechanic menu, go to the Visuals menu, where you will have various upgrading features that will include bike headlights, paint change, etc.
Here you can change decals, accent paint, frame paint, exhaust tips, front fender, wheels, headlights, and more. All you have to do is scroll through the options you have unlocked and purchase them by holding X on an option that you have enough Credits to purchase.
