In this Days Gone Ambush Camps Location Guide, we will detail all the locations of the Ambush Camps in the game. In addition, this guide will show you each of the Bunker Locations in each area.
In total, there are 14 Ambush Camps in the game. Clearing all of the Ambush Camps will complete the Ambush Camps mission and will also unlock the “Ambush Camp Hunter” trophy/achievement.
Ambush Camps are usually filled with enemies that you have to clear out. Once you have taken out all the enemies in a camp, you need to locate a hatch that leads you to an underground bunker.
Once you have cleared out an Ambush Camp, it clears out the fog from the map and reveals other collectible locations in the area. Clearing out all the Ambush Camps will remove all the fog from the map.
The best way to take down the enemies in an Ambush Camp is by being stealthy. Your weapon of choice here should be your Crossbow, with occasional melee takedowns. Additionally, you can also distract enemies by throwing rocks and luring them in for a takedown.
You can either go to each Ambush Camp during the story, or you can go to them after completing the story of the game. Either way, none of these locations are missable, so you can easily collect them anytime.
Days Gone Ambush Camps Location Guide
Below are all the locations of the Ambush Camps and the bunker locations at each camp.
Ambush Camp #1 – Cascade Radio Tower
This camp can be found in the Cascade region, where you have to go to the Cascade Radio Tower. This is part of the main mission “No Starving Patriots” and will be completed automatically.
To find the bunker, look across the tower where a shack is. The bunker hatch is inside this shack.
Ambush Camp #2 – Jefferson Rail Tunnel
This camp can be found in the Cascade region as well, where you have to go to the Jefferson Rail Tunnel. The bunker in this camp is also where most of the enemies are, next to the pile of logs and abandoned truck.
Ambush Camp #3 – Horse Creek
This camp can be found in the Cascade region, where you need to go to Horse Creek. Clear out the area with the enemies, and then go under the high voltage tower, where the bunker is right below it.
Ambush Camp #4 – Black Crater
This camp can be found in the Belknap region, where you need to go to the Black Crater. The bunker in this camp is near the large bonfire at the back of the camp.
Ambush Camp #5 – Belknap Caves
This camp can be found in the Belknap region, where you need to go to the Belknap Caves. To get to the bunker, head up the hill on the side that has the fewest enemies. It is straight above the cave where the Freakers sleep. It is also on the opposite side of the camp where you find the Sniper.
Ambush Camp #6 – Bear Creek Hot Springs
This camp is also found in the Belknap region, where you need to go to the Bear Creek Hot Springs. To find the bunker, you need to go around the mountain wall that surrounds the camp. It will be near one of the camp entrances or exits.
Ambush Camp #7 – Deerborn
This camp is found in the Lost Lake region, where you need to go to Deerborn. The bunker here is located at the top of the camp, where you can spot a lot of enemies.
Ambush Camp #8 – Berley Lake
This camp is also found in the Berley Lake region, where you need to go to this lake. Once you clear out the enemies, you will find the bunker where a few enemies are fighting each other behind a rock.
Ambush Camp #9 – Wagon Road
This camp is found in the Iron Butte region, where you need to go to Wagon Road. Clear out the enemies, and then look inside the dark tunnel on the upper level of the camp where the bunker is.
Ambush Camp #10 – Redwood RV Park
This camp can also be found in the Iron Butte region, where you need to go to the Redwood RV Park. Once you have dealt with the enemies, go to the far edge of the camp to find the bunker, right by the wooden fence that encircles the camp.
Ambush Camp #11 – Spruce Lake
This camp is located in the Crater Lake region, where you need to go to Spruce Lake. The bunker entrance will be inside one of the tents in the camp.
Ambush Camp #12 – Cascade Lakes Railway
This camp is located in the Crater Lake region, where you need to go to the Cascade Lakes Railway. Clear out the enemies, and the bunker will be found near the railway in the snowy ground. It will be just outside one of the train compartments that you can walk through.
Ambush Camp #13 – Aspen Butte
This camp can be found in the Highway 97 region, where you need to go to Aspen Butte. Once you are done clearing the camp, the bunker can be found inside a stone-made shack. A lot of enemies would be around this shack as an indication.
Ambush Camp #14 – Bare Bay
This camp can also be found in the Highway 97 region, where you need to go to Bare Bay. The bunker will be in the mud near the camp entrance or exit.
