Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement Unveiled, Will Serve as a Prequel for the Franchise

Publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay have officially revealed Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, an early chapter of the critically acclaimed franchise. The game will plunge you into strategic battles, crafting, and exploration across a brand-new cursed land in the franchise’s signature style. The new trailer for the title is a great combination of in-game cinematics and gameplay, giving us a thorough look at the upcoming prequel. Check it out:

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement will feature two brand-new protagonists Leonard Brandon, a young fighter with the Church’s Black Wolves clan and Alexander Kyteler, a knight of the Kingdom’s White Stags, and they will both work together to defeat the Demon Lord Elias and end the reign of terror that has gripped the kingdom. The game takes place in England during the 16^th Century and before the events of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. A mysterious floating castle is unleashing hell on the people with its demonic forces, and you must jump into action to protect them.

Additional details about the game will be announced closer to its release. Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement will be released on PC via Steam & Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The current release window for the game is 2026.
