Command & Conquer Remastered

EA has revealed the first art preview from the upcoming Command & Conquer Remastered which shows the classic Construction Yard from the 4K remaster. This was revealed in a post on Reddit by Jim Vessella who is a Producer at EA and he stated that the developers are trying their best to maintain the authenticity of the original title.

The post also mentions that the remaster is approaching the end of the pre-production phase and the developers also released the first GDI mission which included a lot of samples of remastered art running in 4K. The next target of the developers is to get the Multiplayer up and running for the first time. Jim also states that with the reveal of this image, this is the first time anyone outside EA or the Community Council has seen the art from the remaster.

The developers are still looking out for more fan feedback and at the end of his post, Jim again asks for the fans to share their feedback regarding the Remaster and what they want to see in the game. More details about the remaster will be shared soon as well. This is the first time we are getting a Remaster of any Command & Conquer game released back in the 1990s and we hope that more games are remastered after this initial batch of titles.

EA announced that they are planning to remaster the initial titles in the franchise which include the Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Judging by EA’s initial announcement, if the first titles do good in sales, we are certain to see more classic Command & Conquer titles return as remasters as well. EA first showed their interest to remaster the titles back in October 2018.

A confirmed announcement came later in November when EA announced that the very first two titles in the franchise will return to the PCs in modern 4K visuals. EA also mentioned that some veterans from the Petroglyph the original developers of the game are also joining in to bring the 4K titles to life. A confirmed release date is still not known at this point.
