This Blood of Dawnwalker guide details you on how to get the Durandol Legendary Sword early in the game. You can acquire the sword before reaching the required Level, which is 11, but you still won’t be able to use it until you reach it.
Durandol Legendary Sword Guide – The Blood of Dawnwalker
The sword is obtained through a quest that begins at a broken bridge. Before heading there, it’s worth preparing your character for the journey because the area below the bridge contains dangerous enemies that can make the normal route extremely difficult.
The main skill and ability that you require for this method is Vampire Teleport, also called Shadow Step. Since the route is easier to complete at night, make sure you’re attempting it after dark.
You can make the movement easier by visiting the shrine and spending a perk point in the Vampirism section. You can get the Shadow Dweller perk, which increases the range of Shadow Step. Getting this upgrade early makes it easier to move across the gaps and climb the surrounding terrain.
Once you’re prepared, head to the broken bridge and loot the Special Order.
Picking it up starts the quest and gives you information about a treasure located directly below the broken bridge.
From here, you’ll need to reach the bottom of the area using the Shadow Step ability. Jump down from the bridge and use Shadow Step to attach to the nearby wall. Continue moving downward until you reach the lower section.
Be extremely careful around the wolves below, as attacking them can cause additional enemies to spawn, turning the encounter into a difficult fight. Continue downward until you reach the loot at the bottom. There are two items to collect, one of which is an Old Letter and the other item contains the Legendary Sword.
After collecting the sword, head west or northwest while avoiding the enemies. Do not stop to fight them. Use the Shadow Step ability to climb upward and reach the higher section. If for some reason your Shadow Step ability doesn’t work properly, take the longer path toward the west or northwest and continue avoiding enemies until you are safely out of combat.
Once the enemies stop following you, begin climbing the mountain to escape the area. This is arguably the trickiest part of the route because some of the rocks can be awkward to climb. Try not to waste stamina by walking while using Shadow Step.
Continue using the ability to move between the rocks and higher sections. Some parts may require a little adjustment to find the right angle, but eventually you’ll reach the top and escape with the Legendary Sword in your inventory.
