Ubisoft Partners with The Longest Johns to Turn Black Flag Player Reviews into a Sea Shanty

Black Flag Shanty

Ubisoft has teamed up with folk band The Longest Johns to create a sea shanty built entirely from player reviews and community comments about the original Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, timed to celebrate the upcoming launch of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

The band took real words from fans of the original game and turned them into song lyrics, set to a medley of iconic shanties from the Black Flag soundtrack. The result is a musical tribute to the community’s long-standing love for the game. The sea shanty is linked below if you would like to give it a try.

Alongside the official shanty, The Longest Johns have also kicked off one of their Community Projects, inviting fans to submit their own vocal recordings of Randy Dandy Oh. The band will edit the submissions together into a full community performance, continuing their tradition of involving their audience directly in creative projects. More details on how to participate are available on The Longest Johns’ official website.
