This Subnautica 2 Healing Guide shows you different ways to recover your health easily in the game. Like any other survival game, to stay alive in Subnautica’s Proteus underwater world, you need healing. The world is full of dangers. There are two modes to play. If you choose the Creative one, then you are mostly invulnerable to dangers. However, if you are in the Standard Mode, then you should look out for the healings.
Healing Guide – Subnautica 2
You start with a maximum of 100 HP in the game. However, due to several dangers in the game, it starts to deplete. There are many reasons for your health getting depleted.
Hunger and dehydration are common problems early on. Whenever your food or water bar becomes empty, your character loses 4 health over time. You also lose health upon taking damage from enemies. Environmental dangers can also hurt you, including hot areas. The amount of health depletion depends on the attack.
Leviathans are far more dangerous since they can instantly kill you if they catch you. Oxygen is another major survival factor. If, for some reason, you are without oxygen for too long, your screen will begin fading. Eventually, you will die if oxygen isn’t restored in time.
Ways to Heal in Subnautica 2
The following are ways you can heal in Subnautica 2.
Using Medical Gel Sacs for Healing
One of the healing items in the game is the Medical Gel Sac. You can collect these from underwater plants called Acidic Raions while exploring.
To get them, use the Survival Multitool to cut the outer parts of the plant. This gives you Acidic Raion Pouches. In the middle of the plant, you will notice a glowing green section called the Medical Gel Sac. Pick it up and use it to restore 10 health points.
Finding and Crafting First Aid Kits
Another healing method in Subnautica 2 is using First Aid Kits. You can find many of them inside supply crates near wrecks or abandoned facilities. So it is always good to check damaged structures while exploring.
You can also craft your own healing First Aid Kits through the Fabricator in the Consumables section.
The Basic First Aid Kit only requires Fiber and restores a large amount of 50 health. Later, you can make the Enhanced First Aid Kit by combining Fiber with a Medical Gel Sac. This version fully restores your health, which can save you during dangerous encounters.
There is also a Processor machine, which gives you another crafting option. Instead of combining materials, you can directly turn a Medical Gel Sac into a stronger healing item. This will restore 50 HP, which is more than using the sac alone.
