Hyperkin has announced that it is partnering with ModRetro to release new colors for its Captain Premium Controller for the M64. Hyperkin is known for creating custom video game hardware for consoles and accessories. They specialize in bringing a modern touch to classic technology, and their RetroN console series, along with the SupaBoy series, are clear examples of their dedication.
Their latest partnership comes with ModRetro, a company whose sole purpose is to create the best possible versions of devices that are necessary for everyday use. Their goal is to take a product from the past, identify its weak points, and create a better product by rectifying those points or any other flaws in it, bringing a modern touch to classic household tech items. This brand-new partnership will allow gamers to purchase the iconic upcoming controller in brand-new colors to spruce up their gaming setups.
Hyperkin and ModRetro Reveal New Color Options for Captain Premium Controller
The new colorways announced as a result of this partnership include Green, Clear, Purple, and Red. These four options will be available alongside the already available Amethyst Purple, Lime Green, Gray, Rival Purple, Hero Brown, Hero Green, Turquoise, and Black. This brings the Captain Premium Controller’s color range to 12, which is massive for a single controller.
The new colors were announced to match the controller for the upcoming M64 gaming console. Hyperkin’s Captain Premium Controllers are now fully compatible with the ModRetro M64 and offer players a classic way of enjoying their favourite retro games, just the way they were meant to be played. The controller is built to last with a truly mashable button strength, which is able to resist the heavy punches of the most challenging gamers.
Apart from strength, the design also focuses on comfort by offering a design that fits inside the palms of gamers. A long 3M (10ft) cable ensures that players can sit at a safe distance from their screens, and there is no tugging when players snatch it from each other’s hands. On the backside of the controller, players will find an extension port, at the back which allows the use of memory cards and rumble feedback accessories to further enhance the gaming experience.
