Race To Worlds First, the Destiny 2 Crown Of Sorrow event ended as Carolina completed the raid before anyone else could. I have to say that it was very close indeed. Datto was just a few minutes off. After putting hours into figuring out the raid and completing it he actually thought he was the first to complete the Destiny 2 Crown Of Sorrow raid.
More than 40,000 people were watching Datto play and the live stream had more than 9 million views. Datto got the exotic gun and in his mind, he had done the raid before anyone else. It turned out that everyone that completed the raid in the first 24 hours got the gun (to my knowledge).
The fans in the chat told Datto that he was not the first to complete the first ever Destiny 2 Crown Of Sorrow raid and that he had missed the mark by 6 minutes. He said that it was either first or a loss.
He opened up his inventory and dismantled the exotic weapon. While doing so he said that Bungie could keep the gun and all that he really cared about was being the first in the world to complete the Destiny 2 Crown Of Sorrow raid.
Datto was a bit salty and walked out of the room with disappointment. HIs GF/wife (either of the two) comforted him and so did the fans. After a while, Datto calmed down and thanked the chat and the fans for watching him play the raid.
Datto did really great and while there were mistakes and he was not the first to complete the Destiny 2 Crown Of Sorrow raid, he did manage to come in second. Plus he did apologize soon after and apologized for not being able to get the crown.
