Two new models of the Nintendo Switch are expected to be released as soon as summer 2019. While one is going to be a more premium option, the other is going to be a cheaper model that will pose as an alternative to the 2DS and 3DS. Reports claim that the cheaper 2019 Nintendo Switch will not have haptic feedback meaning that it won’t have the vibration feature.
Whether or not the new device is worth it will depend on how much the price is reduced. Sources also indicated that the cheaper device will not have removable joy cons and that they will be integrated with the display like a traditional handheld device. Other than that reports suggest that it will not come with the dock either. All this can help in bringing down the price of the Nintendo Switch which is great for consumers that want are not willing to pay around $350.
We are not sure whether or not you will be able to use the cheaper 2019 Nintendo Switch with an external display. The hardware should be the same if not better and it should be possible using the USB Type-C port and you could buy the dock separately if you really needed to. All this is something that we will learn closer to launch. If you ask me, I think that you will be able to dock it or use a cable in order to use a bigger screen with your device. It should also be compatible with other accessories like the Pro Controller.
The more expensive model could come with a larger display and bigger battery but all this is yet to be confirmed and is rumor and speculation at this point so do take this information with a grain of salt.
Among the Sleep enhanced edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch on May 29 and so are some other titles that you should check out.
