Xbox Series X Pictures Leaked, See the Console in its Raw Form

Xbox Series X Backwards Compatibility

2020 is the year of the next generation of consoles. We already know that both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are scheduled to launch in Holiday 2020. A confirmed release date is not yet known but at least we know that Holiday 2020 is the time when both are coming out finally. Sony has been awfully quiet about its next-gen console however Microsoft has already officially revealed their next-generation console Xbox Series X however we now have some fresh pictures.

Apart from the official reveal trailer, we have yet to see the console in raw pictures officially however a picture of the console has leaked online and we get to see the prototype of the console in its raw form for the first time. The picture however only shows the backside and the front side of the console and it is not really the prettiest side of the console. The form factor looks pretty like a PC’s CPU but with a closed backside and a few ports in the back.

We’ve attached the leaked picture below:

As you can see that the console looks pretty much like a CPU from the backside. It comes with 2 USB Type-A ports, an HDMI port, power, Ethernet and an optical audio port. On both sides of these ports, you can see two large vents which are for the hot air to exit the console forming an air stream of air that enters from the top vents and comes out at the bottom from these two consoles. You can also read on the name placeholder that this is a prototype and not the final version of the console.

Since this is a prototype, there is a special diagnostic port in the center as well which will not be present in the final version of the console. Microsoft might change this layout for the consumer release as well so these ports might be like this or might change in the final version but the basic design of the console will remain the same. The final console might have Type C USB ports as well but we will find all that in due time.

The following picture shows the front of the console.

The front is yet again pretty basic with just an ‘X’ logo at the top and the controller sync button with the Blue-Ray drive slot at the front. It has a single USB slot at the front. This is definitely not the best looking console and it will not win any awards for being the prettiest console if this is indeed the final form of the console when it comes out. We will have to wait a little bit more to see how much the final consumer unit gets changed aesthetically.
