World War Z Perks Guide

In this World War Z Perks Guide, we will show you all the perks that are tied to each of the character classes in the game. As you begin the game, you will be introduced to 6 character classes that you can choose from. Within each class, 30 perks give your character various buffs or abilities.

This guide will list all of the perks that are in the game, plus what their effects are when you unlock them, and what level they will be available from. In total, there are 6 different character classes:

  • Slasher
  • Hellraiser
  • Medic
  • Gunslinger
  • Fixer
  • Exterminator

Whichever character class you choose, your player level will increase with the progression of the game. the maximum player level is set at 30, where a perk is available every time you level up. This means that each character class comes with 30 of its unique perks.

World War Z Perks Guide

Below we have listed all the Perks specific to each of the 6 character classes.

Slasher

All the perks in the Slasher character class are below. The perks are in order of the player level. Starting from player level 1 to player level 30.

Crowd Control

This is a Level 1 perk where your push radius from melee attacks is increased by 50%.

All Elbows

This perk is available when you reach Level 2,  and it reduces the movement speed penalty by 100% when zombies are very close to you.

Rooted

This perk is available when you reach Level 3, and this perk increases the number of zombies required to pin you down. Increasing from 8 to 12.

Juiced Up

This perk is available when you reach Level 4, where the Stun Gun effect duration increases by 100%

Zeus

This perk is available when you reach Level 5, where it increases the stun gun range by 50% and the target count to 20

High Voltage

This perk is available when you reach Level 6 where your Stun gun damage increases by 100%

Bullet-dodger

This perk is available when you reach Level 7, and it allows you to take 90% less friendly fire from bullets while performing melee attacks

Nimble

This perk is available when you reach Level 8 and it allows you to take 50% less damage while performing melee attacks

With My Last Breath

This perk is available when you reach Level 9 where melee strikes damage 1 more target when health is below 25%

Slice and Dice

This perk is available when you reach Level 10, where you and all your teammates can perform more melee strikes (+2) before becoming tired

Trophy Hunter

This perk is available when you reach Level 11, and it allows you to deal 25% more damage to special zombies

Wheatgrass

This perk is available when you reach Level 12, where health increases by 25%

Silent Killer

This perk is available when you reach Level 1, where you can start with a TMP5 SMG with a silencer upgrade

Vigor

This perk is available when you reach Level 14 where killing 10 zombies in rapid succession with a melee weapon grants a temporary health boost

Cloak And Dagger

This perk is available when you reach Level 15, where killing 10 zombies in rapid succession with a melee weapon grants a masking effect

Third Hand

This perk is available when you reach Level 16, where killing 10 zombies with melee attacks in rapid succession instantly reloads your primary weapon

Shock therapy

This perk is available when you reach Level 17, where you will not become fatigued when melee-attacking zombies are electrified by the stun gun

Heavy metal

This perk is available when you reach Level 18. You can start with an improved Taiga-12 Heavy Assault Shotgun that deals 25% more damage and has 25% more ammo. All Taiga-12 Heavy Assault Shotgun pickups for you also improved.

Battle Cry

This perk is available when you reach Level 19 where you can automatically stand up from being pinned after 5 seconds

Executioner I

This perk is available when you reach Level 20, where you can perform 1 more melee strike before becoming tired. Melee damage increased by 50%

Executioner II

This perk is available when you reach Level 21, where you can perform 1 more melee strike before becoming tired. Melee damage increased by 50%

Samurai

This perk is available when you reach Level 22, where killing 15 zombies in rapid succession allows you to hit 1 more target per melee strike for 10 seconds

Bloodlust

This perk is available when you reach Level 23, where killing special zombies with a melee weapon will increase firearm damage by 50% for 10 seconds

Spare Batteries

This perk is available when you reach Level 24. This perk is available when you reach Level Max capacity for stun gun charges increased to 4

Pickpocket

This perk is available when you reach Level 25. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession gives a 25% chance to refill one charge to your equipment

Loan Shark

This perk is available when you reach Level 26. Killing a special zombie gives you a 25% chance to restore one charge to your equipment

Flash Sale

This perk is available when you reach Level 27. Using the stun gun restores 1% of your primary weapon ammunition for every target you stun

Swapping Mags!

This perk is available when you reach Level 28. SMGs’ reload speed increased by 25%.

Adrenaline

This perk is available when you reach Level 29. Reload speed increased by 50% when health is below 25%.

Blade Master

This perk is available when you reach Level 30. Melee strikes damage 1 more target.

Hellraiser

All the Hellraiser Perks are listed below:

Throwing Arm

This perk is available when you reach Level 1, where the throw distance of a C4 increases by 50%

Here Kitty

This perk is available when you reach Level 2. Allowing your C4 will attract zombies for 5 seconds after being planted

Not Today

This perk is available when you reach Level 3. This may allow you to become incapacitated 1 additional time before dying

Welcome Mat

This perk is available when you reach Level 4, allowing Claymores to kill 25% more targets. Start with claymores

Green Fingered

This perk is available when you reach Level 5. The planting speed of claymores increased by 50%. 10% chance to plant Claymore at no cost to your equipment. Start with Claymores

Welcoming Committee

This perk is available when you reach Level 6. Any mortar used by you or your teammates can kill 25% more targets

Unshakeable

This perk is available when you reach Level 7. Self-inflicted explosive damage is reduced by 60%

Direct Blast

This perk is available when you reach Level 8. You deal 100% more damage to zombies with all explosives

Nimble Thumbs

This perk is available when you reach Level 9. All shotgun reload speed increased by 50%

Demolition Squad

This perk is available when you reach Level 10. Explosive equipment can kill 25% more targets. This applies to the whole team

Bounty Hunter

This perk is available when you reach Level 11. Deals 25% more damage to special zombies

Wheatgrass

This perk is available when you reach Level 12. Health increased by 25%

Walk Softly

This perk is available when you reach Level 13. Start with a S890 Shotgun

Tooled Up

This perk is available when you reach Level 14. Increase claymore capacity to 4 and C4 to 3

Pickpocket

This perk is available when you reach Level 15. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession gives a 25% chance to refill one equipment charge

I’ll Take That

This perk is available when you reach Level 16. Killing a special zombie grants a 25% chance to refill one equipment charge

Free Refill I

This perk is available when you reach Level 17. Restores 1% of primary weapon ammo for each kill made with equipment

Free Refill II

This perk is available when you reach Level 18. Each kill made with equipment restores 1 round to your primary weapon magazine

Third Hand

This perk is available when you reach Level 19. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession instantly reloads your primary weapon

Hollywood

This perk is available when you reach Level 20. Explosive and fire damage to yourself and your teammates is reduced by 30%

Scorched Earth

This perk is available when you reach Level 21. Claymore and C4 will set nearby areas on fire

Deep Pockets

This perk is available when you reach Level 22. Carried ammo capacity for heavy weapons increased by 25%

Hole Punch

This perk is available when you reach Level 23. Shotgun Range increased by 50%

Senjata

This perk is available when you reach Level 24. Start with a Senjata PDW in your secondary weapon slot

Thumper

This perk is available when you reach Level 25. Start with the Thumper GL in your secondary weapon slot

Heavy Rain

This perk is available when you reach Level 26. Start with an improved hailstorm MGL that does 50% more damage, and has 50% more ammo. All Hailstorm MGL pickup improved for you

Knock Knock

This perk is available when you reach Level 27. Start with a breaching charge

Job Satisfaction

This perk is available when you reach Level 28. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession grants a temporary health boost

Predator

This perk is available when you reach Level 29. Killing special zombies boosts firearm damage by 50% for 10 seconds

Technician

This perk is available when you reach Level 30. C4, Claymore Landmines and MGL can kill 25% more targets

Medic

All Medic Perks are listed below:

Doctor In The House

This perk is available when you reach Level 1. Medkit heals 10% more

Triage

This perk is available when you reach Level 2. Apply Medkit 50% faster

Sugar Coated

This perk is available when you reach Level 3. Healing a teammate with a medkit also grants them a temporary health boost

Patch Up

This perk is available when you reach Level 4. Restores 30% health to teammates after reviving them

Paramedic

This perk is available when you reach Level 5. revive speed increased by 50%

Pick Me Up

This perk is available when you reach Level 6. Any teammate revived by you will gain a temporary health boost

Big Pharma

This perk is available when you reach Level 7. The max Number of Stim Pistol charges increased to 4

Painkiller

This perk is available when you reach Level 8. Stim Pistol gives 25% more temporary health and its effects last 50% longer

Empathy

This perk is available when you reach Level 9. Using the Stim Pistol on a teammate will also apply 50% of its effect on you

Tenacity

This perk is available when you reach Level 10. All incapacitated team members will stay alive for 30% longer

Second Wind

This perk is available when you reach Level 11. 25% chance to regain 25% health and keep going instead of becoming incapacitated (cooldown 60 seconds)

Wheatgrass

This perk is available when you reach Level 12. Health increased by 25%

Navy Seal

This perk is available when you reach Level 13. Start with SMG TMP5

Efficiency

This perk is available when you reach Level 14. 25% chance of using a Medkit without depleting your supply

Good Karma

This perk is available when you reach Level 15. Using Medkit on a teammate will also apply 50% of its effect on you

Combat Medic

This perk is available when you reach Level 16. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession gives a 10% chance to receive a Medkit

Free Hugs

This perk is available when you reach Level 17. 25% chance of using the Stim Pistol without depleting its charge

Pickpocket

This perk is available when you reach Level 18. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession gives a 25% chance to refill on equipment charge

I’ll Take That

This perk is available when you reach Level 19. Killing a special zombie gives a 50% chance to restore one equipment charge

Fighting Chance

This perk is available when you reach Level 20. Using the Stim Pistol on a teammate who is pinned will get them to their feet

Forgive to Forget

This perk is available when you reach Level 21. friendly fire damage reduced by 25% for all team members

In The Zone

This perk is available when you reach Level 22. using a Stim Pistol or Medkit adds a 50% firearm damage boost for 10 seconds

Fighting Pit

This perk is available when you reach Level 23. Firearm damage increases by 25% when your whole team has more than 50% health

Battle Surgeon

This perk is available when you reach Level 24. Stim Pistol heals 10% of health in addition to the boost effect

What Was in That?

This perk is available when you reach Level 25. Stim Pistol effect gives 4 additional melee strikes without fatigue for 20 seconds

Secret Ingredient

This perk is available when you reach Level 26. Stim Pistol grants an additional masking effect lasting 5 seconds

Lobotomy

This perk is available when you reach Level 27. Restore 2 rounds in the magazine for each headshot made with SMG

Swapping Mags!

This perk is available when you reach Level 28. SMGs’ reload speed increased by 25%

Adrenaline

This perk is available when you reach Level 29. reload speed increased by 50% when health is below 25%

Doctor’s Bag

This perk is available when you reach Level 30. Medkits used by you and your teammates restore 10% more health

Exterminator

All Exterminator Perks are listed below:

Pyromaniac

This perk is available when you reach Level 1. Molotov’s fire damage increased by 50%

Hangover

This perk is available when you reach Level 2. Molotovs burn 50% longer

Crowd Control

This perk is available when you reach Level 3. Push radius from melee attacks increased by 50%

Rage Mode

This perk is available when you reach Level 4. When pinned down you will automatically rise up and push your attackers back (does not affect special zombies)

Dragon Hide

This perk is available when you reach Level 8. Start with an improved RPGL4 that deals 100% more damage. All RPGL4 pickups for you also improved

Heavy Metal II

This perk is available when you reach Level 9. Start with an improved Taiga-12 Heavy Assault Shotgun that deals 25% more damage, and has 25% more ammo. All Taiga-12 Heavy Assault Shotgun pickups for you also improved

Bandolier

This perk is available when you reach Level 10. Mortar and Stationary Machine Gun ammo capacity increased by 25% for all teams. Durability of defenses increased by 25% for all team

Deep Pockets

This perk is available when you reach Level 11. carried ammo capacity for primary and secondary weapons increased by 25%

Wheatgrass

This perk is available when you reach Level 12. Health increased by 25%

Rifleman

This perk is available when you reach Level 13. Start with ARK-103 Assault Rifle

Green Fingered

This perk is available when you reach Level 14. The planting speed of Claymores is increased by 50%. Claymores can kill 25% more targets. Start with Claymore

Fire Trap

This perk is available when you reach Level 15. Claymore explosions set fire to the surrounding area. Star with Claymore

Combat Engineer

This perk is available when you reach Level 16. 20% chance to restore an expended Defense kit

Second Wind

This perk is available when you reach Level 17. 100% chance to regain 25% health and keep going instead of becoming incapacitated

Job Satisfaction

This perk is available when you reach Level 18. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession gives a 100% chance to gain a temporary health boost

Cloak and Dagger

This perk is available when you reach Level 19. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession grants masking effect for 3 seconds

Hollywood II

This perk is available when you reach Level 20. Explosive and fire damage dealt to yourself and your teammates is reduced by 50%

Broad Shoulders

This perk is available when you reach Level 21. heavy weapon ammo capacity increased by 25%

Bullet Rain

This perk is available when you reach Level 22. All fully automatic weapons’ reload speed increased by 25%

Third Hand

This perk is available when you reach Level 23. killing 15 zombies in rapid succession instantly reloads your primary weapon

Party at my place

This perk is available when you reach Level 24. Maximum molotov capacity increased to 3 and claymore capacity to 4

Pickpocket

This perk is available when you reach Level 25. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession gives a 25% chance to refill one charge to your equipment

Thrifty

This perk is available when you reach Level 26. 15% chance of using the Claymore or Molotov without depleting an equipment charge

Know-how

This perk is available when you reach Level 27. Molotovs and claymores can kill 25% more targets

Hot sauce

This perk is available when you reach Level 28. Molotov’s splash damage increased by 50%

Ghost

This perk is available when you reach Level 29. Automatically receive masking effect if you are the last of your team still standing (does not apply if you are incapacitated or pinned)

Daredevil

This perk is available when you reach Level 30. When there are more than 30 zombies in the area, firearm damage is increased by 25% and the number of melee strikes before becoming fatigued is increased by 2

Gunslinger

All Gunslinger Perks are listed below:

Fire In The Hole

This perk is available when you reach Level 1. Frag Grenades Can Kill 25% more targets

Impact Grenade

This perk is available when you reach Level 2. Frag grenades explode on impact

Power Nap

This perk is available when you reach Level 3. Unequipped weapons automatically reload after 10 seconds

Swapping Mags

This perk is available when you reach Level 4. Reload speed increased by 25% on all weapons

Front line Supply

This perk is available when you reach Level 5. Head-shots made with primary or secondary automatically restore 5% rounds to the magazine

Adrenaline

This perk is available when you reach Level 6. Reloading a weapon with less than 25% ammo in the magazine provides a 50% reload speed boost for 5 seconds

Heavy Metal

This perk is available when you reach Level 7. Starts with an improved MAGS machine gun that deals 25% more damage and has 25% more ammo. All MAGS Machinegun pickups improved

Gunner

This perk is available when you reach Level 8. Start with sporting carbine PAC-15

This perk is available when you reach Level 9. Start with the ARK-103 Assault Rifle

Seek And Destroy

This perk is available when you reach Level 10. All active special zombies within a radius of 20 meters will be automatically marked

Bounty Hunter

This perk is available when you reach Level 11. Deal 25% more damage to special zombies

Wheatgrass

This perk is available when you reach Level 12. Health increased by 25%

Sleight of Hands

This perk is available when you reach Level 13. Switch weapons 50% faster

Draining primary

This perk is available when you reach Level 14. Draining primary and then secondary weapons magazines automatically reloads primary weapon

Last Resort

This perk is available when you reach Level 15. While both primary and secondary weapon magazines are dry you can do two more melee strikes without fatigue and damage 1 more target with each melee strike

Rage Mode

This perk is available when you reach Level 16. When pinned down you will automatically rise and push your attacker back (does not affect special zombies)

Welcoming Committee

This perk is available when you reach Level 17. Stationary machine gun ammo increased by 25% for all teammates

This perk is available when you reach Level 18. Start with a S890 shorty in your secondary weapon slot

Senjata

This perk is available when you reach Level 19. Start with a Senjata PDW in your secondary weapon slot

My Bad

This perk is available when you reach Level 20. Friendly fire damage is reduced by 50%

Deep Pocket

This perk is available when you reach Level 21. Carried ammo capacity for Primary and secondary weapons increased by 25%

Desperado

This perk is available when you reach Level 22. Pistol damage increased by 25%

Free refill

This perk is available when you reach Level 23. restore 1% of primary weapon ammo for each kill made with equipment

Work Bell

This perk is available when you reach Level 24. The number of frag grenades increased to 3

Executioner

This perk is available when you reach Level 25. Killing 15 zombies in rapid succession gives a 25% chance to refill one equipment charge

Eagle Eye

This perk is available when you reach Level 26. 50% chance to refill one frag grenade by killing special zombies with headshots

Annihilator

This perk is available when you reach Level 27. Primary, secondary, and heavy deal 15% more damage

Switcheroo

This perk is available when you reach Level 28. switching between primary and secondary weapons increases firearm damage by 25% for 3 seconds

Thrifty

This perk is available when you reach Level 29. Reloading a weapon with less than 25% ammo in a magazine provides a 25% firearm damage boost for 5 seconds

Warface

This perk is available when you reach Level 30. Killing 25 zombies in rapid succession grants a 50% firearm damage boost to the entire team for 20 seconds

Fixer

All Fixer Perks are listed below:

Kickback

This perk is available when you reach Level 1. When a teammate uses your Supple Bad there is a 20% chance you will also gain explosive ammo

Armory

This perk is available when you reach Level 2. Using a Supply Bag gives a 15% chance to restore one equipment charge

Paramedic

This perk is available when you reach Level 3. Revive speed increased by 50%

Night Owl

This perk is available when you reach Level 4. Masking grenades grants an additional temporary health boost. Start with Masking Grenades.

Side Effects

This perk is available when you reach Level 5. Masking Grenade gas is lethal to zombies. Start with masking Grenades

Stand By Me

This perk is available when you reach Level 6. Increase firearm damage by 50% for 10 seconds when reviving or unpinning a teammate

Knock Knock

This perk is available when you reach Level 7. Start with breaching charges

Give ’em hell

This perk is available when you reach Level 8. Reviving a teammate grants explosive ammo for both of you

Cloakroom

This perk is available when you reach Level 9. This perk is available when you reach Level 24. Revive a teammate grants masking effect for 3 seconds for both of you

Please Stand Up

This perk is available when you reach Level 10. If everyone in a team is incapacitated or pinned by a zombie then the fixer is able to stand up

My Round I

This perk is available when you reach Level 11. Increase carried ammo capacity for primary and secondary weapons by 10% for you and all teammates

Wheatgrass

This perk is available when you reach Level 12. Health increased by 25%

Gunner

This perk is available when you reach Level 13. Start with Sporting Carbine PAC-15

One for the Road

This perk is available when you reach Level 14. Max masking grenade capacity increased to 2 and Supply Bag capacity to 2

Pickpocket

This perk is available when you reach Level 15. Kill 15 zombies in rapid succession for a 25% chance to refill your equipment with one charge

Scavenger

This perk is available when you reach Level 16. 25% chance to restore one equipment charge by killing a special zombie

Instant Replay

This perk is available when you reach Level 17. Anyone who uses your supply bag restores 20% of their primary weapon ammunition

Under The Table

This perk is available when you reach Level 18. Anyone entering the masking grenade gas cloud restores 20% of primary weapon ammo

Go Get ‘Em

This perk is available when you reach Level 19. Reviving a teammate will restore 15% of primary weapons ammunition for you and your teammate

Efficiency

This perk is available when you reach Level 20. The supply bag contains 25% more explosive ammo. Masking grenade effect duration increased by 5 seconds

Lighting Hands

This perk is available when you reach Level 21. All semi-automatic rifles’ reload speed increased by 25%

Powershot

This perk is available when you reach Level 22. All semi-automatic rifles gain increased penetration

Casull 6

This perk is available when you reach Level 23. Start with a Casull 6 in your secondary weapon slot

Fourth of July

This perk is available when you reach Level 24. Supply Bag contains 25% more explosives ammo

Shadow Walker

This perk is available when you reach Level 25. Masking Grenade effect duration increased by 3 seconds

My Round II

This perk is available when you reach Level 27. Increase carried ammo capacity for heavy weapons by 10% for all teammates

Bandolier

This perk is available when you reach Level 28. Mortar and Stationary machine gun ammo capacity increased by 25% for all teams. Durability of defenses increased by 25% for all teams.

The Big Five-O

This perk is available when you reach Level 29. Start with an improved BF25 Payload Rifle that deals 25% more damage and has 50% more ammo. All BF25 Payload Rifle pickups for you also improved.

Corporate Power Nap

This perk is available when you reach Level 30. An unequipped weapon automatically reloads every 10 seconds for all teammates.
