In this Directive 8020 guide, we will guide you on how you can easily combine the chemicals and create the sedative to give to Williams. During the mission, Drugs, if you decide to sedate Williams, you will be required to find the right samples and mix them to create the sedative. This can be a little tricky if you do not know what needs to be done because the game tells you very little information about how you can create the sedative, and there are multiple charts with chemicals and their compositions on the walls, making it even harder.
Picking The Right Chemicals to Create the Sedative in Directive 8020
As soon as you are in control of Cooper, head to the wall ahead and interact with the console on the left side of the wall. This is the synthesizer, and it will show you the formula for creating the sedative.

It does not mention the name of the chemical, but instead it shows the chemical composition for each of the required chemicals. Now stop using the synthesizer, and check out the three posters on the wall, which show the chemical compositions of each of the chemicals found in the laboratory.

You need to match the symbols shown in the synthesizer with the ones mentioned in the chart and then create the sedative. As shown in the console, the formula requires Chloroacetyl Chloride + Ammonia + Dimethyl Sulphate.

This is based on matching the chemical names with the compositions shown on the synthesizer’s screen and their compositions in different charts on the lab’s walls.

This leads to the correct sequence to input to be 168. Once you enter this code in the synthesizer, you will create the sedative and complete the sequence.
