ININ Games and STUDIOARTDINK have announced that the pre-orders of all three limited editions of Wonder Boy – Asha in Monster World are now live. All three limited editions are slated for release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch exclusively via the Strictly Limited Games Partner Store. The limited editions along with the normal, retail editions of Wonder Boy – Asha in Monster World will release in 2021.
If you missed it earlier, Wonder Boy – Asha in Monster World is the fully remastered version of the famous Wonder Boy IV released back in 1994. The development for the game is being led by the creator of the Wonder Boy series, Ryuichi Nishizawa who is also supported by members of the original development team. Manning the development alongside him also includes Shinichi Sakamoto (sound), Maki Ōzora (character design), and Takanori Kurihara (creative management).
While the franchise may be old, the developer is certainly working towards making this game a perfect blend of modern and classic. In the game, Asha is chosen to leave her village in order to rescue missing spirits and to save the world at the same time. She has her blue flying friend Pepelogoo to help her on her adventures. While remaining true to the classic title, the new release also comes with some modern features such as:

- Remastered graphics with a fresh 2.5D design
- New dynamic and impressive cutscenes and animations
- Remastered game sounds & soundtrack by Shinichi Sakamoto
- Additional easy mode, so everyone alike can enjoy the game
Fans of the franchise will be happy to know that the original Monster Hunter World IV is also included in all physical editions. It will come on the cartridge for Nintendo Switch and will be an exclusive download code for the PS4 disc version of Asha in Monster World. Now coming to the limited editions of the game, Wonder Boy – Asha in Monster World is getting three limited editions.
Starting with the very first one, the Limited Edition Physical Release is limited to just 3,500 copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,700 copies for PS4 worldwide. It will set you back €39.99 and it ships with the following goodies:
