watchOS 7.0.3 Fixes Major Issues in Apple Watch Series 3

Apple released a new update for the watchOs which fixes several issues users were facing in Apple Watch Series 3. The update is version 7.0.3 of the watchOS which comes a week after the release of watchOS 7.0.2 that also fixed a major issue faced by users of Apple Watch Series 3. Apple has made watchOS 7.0.3 available today for Apple Watch Series 3 users with a patch for an issue with the wearable restarting.

When the watchOS 7 released, it brought a ton of bugs and issues for Apple Watch Series 3 users. Apple has continued to release fix patches and watchOS 7.0.3 is one of them. watchOS 7.0.3 brings fix for unexpected restart issues faced by the Apple Watch Series 3. It is a major update for Apple Watch Series 3 users.

Keep in mind that no other Apple Watch model will receive the update since it is only available for the Series 3. As mentioned earlier, the update fixes the random reboot bug which is widely experienced by users. Apple said in their release notes for watchOS Series 3:

watchOS 7.0.3 contains improvements and bug fixes, including an issue where Apple Watch Series 3 may unexpectedly restart for some users.

Before the 7.0.3 update, Apple released watchOS 7.02 which fixed issues with battery train and ECG sensor. It is good on Apple’s end that they are still supporting the Series 3 watches and have taken notes of the issues and released fixes for them.

To install the watchOS 7.0.3 on your Apple Watch Series 3, place your Apple Watch on its charger. Your watch needs to be within the range of your iPhone connected to Wi-Fi. Then follow these steps:

  • On your iPhone, launch the Watch app.
  • Tap General.
  • Tap Software Update. The app will look for the update online.
  • When the app finds the update, you’ll see a screen with the release notes. Under the notes, tap Download and Install.

This will download and then install the update to your Apple Watch.
