Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions

PlayFusion and Games Workshop have announced that their hugely successful trading card game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is coming out on Nintendo Switch and Steam. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is a physical card game and is now coming on digital platforms as well.

So far, over 20,000,000 physical cards have been sold and over 1,000,000 digital matches have been played of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions. It offers a very unique connect play experience to players as players can scan their physical cards and add them in their digital collection and play with them.

This completely blends both the physical and the digital collection and makes the game fun to play as players can play either digitally or physically with their same sets. The game will feature four unique Grand Alliances and players will be able to use custom crafted decks from these factions and try to win the battles.

Players will be able to challenge both local friends or players from around the around regardless of which platform they are playing on. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions will support cross-device play so both Nintendo Switch and Steam players will be able able to duke it out with each other.

CEO and Co-Founder of PlayFusion Mark Gerhard said

The team are utterly thrilled with the opportunity to bring Warhammer Champions to new audiences and new platforms. The response for the physical and digital game has already been incredible, and we just can’t wait to watch that grow to new heights. With the release of our Set 2 cards in Onslaught, and a whole heap of new features we have planned, there’s always going to be something new to try. And now, there will be a much bigger community to try with.

The game will receive regular content updates post launch and new cards and content will keep coming to the game. A full narrative campaign will also be present in the game. If singleplayer is not your suit, you can jump directly in battles against the AI or other players in Casual mode or attempt to complete different AI challenges.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is slated for Steam release in February 2019 while Nintendo Switch version will be released later in Q1 of 2019. It is already available on mobile phones and tablets.
