Publisher NACON and developer Brave Lamb Studio have announced that their upcoming survival RTS War Hospital has been pushed into 2024. A new release window for War Hospital is now set for early 2024 when it will arrive on all platforms, PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. War Hospital was originally slated for release on October 26, 2023, but now it will be released in early 2024. In their official statement, the developers have cited different reasons for this delay but the major one is requiring more time in its refinement.
The developer released an official statement which you can find below:
You have been following our news for a long time and you know that we are committed to making a truly unique game. As the aim of the game is to save people rather than kill them, War Hospital offers a different perspective from other war strategy games. We want to make the game as deep and realistic as possible while respecting the subject it deals with. This is why War Hospital features a range of game mechanics, including management, strategy, and role play. These different systems are complex, and we require more development time than previously thought to find the right balance.
To achieve our authenticity and quality goals, we have decided to extend our development time and push back the release to early 2024. These additional months will allow us to refine details, balance the game, and fix more bugs so that you have a more polished game.
Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your support.

The War Hospital team.
As of now, we just know that the developers will release the game in early 2024. There is no confirmed release date, and we just have a window for it. War Hospital is a unique game in the sense that instead of killing people, the game is all about rescuing people in the war. It combines both real-time strategy and survival elements as players will need to make tough choices and save whoever they can. Players will run and manage a field hospital where they will oversee the treatment and rehabilitation of wounded soldiers during the First World War.

War Hospital developers also announced a partnership with Imperial War Museums to make the game as authentic as possible. War Hospital aims to capture the harsh realities of World War I and will show the side of the war that very few people have seen in any video game adaptation previously.
