Ubisoft Announces Open Beta Dates of Anno 1800 for PC Players

Anno 1800 Open Beta

Ubisoft has announced the plans for the open beta for Anno 1800 on PC. The open beta will be available for 2 days starting from 12-14 April.

There is not much information as to what the players will be getting to experience with in the open beta. However, the developer studio Blue Byte has teased that it will include “new content” that has not been seen in the recent closed beta.

There are no particular sign up requirement for the open beta and people who are interested in the game can get it from any beta specific client to experience the pre-release game.

More information is expected to come out between the actual open beta launch, and will most likely be shared on the usual social media channels. The game was originally scheduled to launch this month on 26 February, but Blue Byte announced that it would be delaying the game’s launch until 16 April, for “a little additional polishing and tuning”.

Anno 1800 is a real time strategy game that involves city building. While the previous games in the series all focused on the city building of the future like Anno 20170 and Anno 2205, the latest game is set in the 19th century. Where players will experience the Industrial Revolution, a time where city expansion was the vision of every man. With that of course, came the tourism, pollution and worker strikes which was common during that period.

Anno 1800 is set to release on 16 April, the same month the beta ends, for players on PC. If you pre-order the game, you will also receive the Imperial Pack that will contain extra content with the game. There will able be a Pioneers and Digital Deluxe Editions that will give you exclusive content that includes the Anarchist character.

Anno 1800 will come with the features that were highly requested by fans such as the shippable trade goods, AI opponents, more items and multi-session gameplays.
