The Sinking City Available

The brand new mystery action-adventure investigation game The Sinking City by Frogwares and Bigben is now available. The game is set in the 1920s and takes place in Oakmont, Massachusetts, a city which has been overcome by a supernatural flood. The game is inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft who is considered as the master of horror.

In The Sinking City, players jump in the shoes of Charles Reed who is an ex-navy man and now works as a private investigator. The city of Oakmont is under the influence of a supernatural flood which is also the cause of different weird and strange visions in the people. Charles Reed is one of such people affected by these visions and he arrives in the city to find a cure to his problem.

Upon his arrival, Charles Reed is thrown in the depth and the mystery of Oakmont City where he must gain the trust of the local people and try to solve different cases which will help him find the source of the supernatural flood as well as the force which is causing the visions in his mind as well as the minds of the people of Oakmont City.

The developers have released a brand new trailer to celebrate the release of the game. Check it out below.

Apart from trying to survive physically, players will also be required to save themselves mentally as the flood has brought with it horrors from the Older World and they will cause players to lose their sanity. The game will test the strengths of players both mentally and physically. Despite Charles Reed being a very tough man, he is pretty weak against the monstrosities as they slowly cause him to lose his sanity.

Frogwares is not new to mystery solving video games since they have released quite a lot of Sherlock Holmes games under their belt. The Sinking City improves on the similar formula, adds some brand new cool mechanics along with some horror elements thrown in the mix.
