Indie developer Supercube has revealed the 2023 roadmap for its survival space sim The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation which showcases the content that we can expect to see in the game in 2023. After a successful launch into Early Access on Steam last month, Supercube is currently busy working on the game and is releasing new updates to further expand the game with new features and enhancements. As showcased in the latest roadmap, The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation is getting vehicles, character classes, and a lot more.
The biggest highlight of the new 2023 roadmap for The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation is the addition of a new vehicle to the game called The Bear. The Bear is a large rover that has huge wheels and it is best for movement around the moon. The Bear will arrive in The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation in Q2 2023 and it will be part of the update called Road Trip. Apart from the addition of Bear, a new character class The Pilot will arrive as well along with a new station module called Hangar. This update is mostly focused on making it easier for players to explore the Moon.
After the Road Trip update, two additional updates are slated for release in Q3 and Q4 of 2023 called Decisions and Out of Control. In Decisions, another victory condition will be available in the game along with a new character class called The Engineer and a new station module Command Center. This update will also bring more challenges, quests, and strategic decision options to the game. The last update Out of Control will introduce a new threat Fire, another engineer class called Engineer II, and a new station module Emergency Room.
Additional details about all of these upcoming updates will be released as the updates near their release dates. As of now, we are looking forward to the first update Road Trip which is slated to arrive in Q2 of 2023. The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation is now available on PC in Early Access via Steam, and you can jump into the game right now if you want.
