Team Ninja has announced The Nioh Collection for PS5 and is slated for release in February 2021. The collection will include both Nioh 1 and Nioh 2 remastered for the next-generation PS5 and will include all DLC released for both games as well. This was announced by Tom Lee who is the Creative Director over at Team Ninja.
Team Ninja is currently working on the third and final DLC for Nioh 2 called The First Samurai. It serves as the conclusion to Nioh 2 and is slated for release on December 17, 2020. It will come with an added difficulty level which will the hardest to be featured in the game so far. It will also feature new enemies and some of the most challenging missions in the entire series. However, Team Ninja has announced that they have four tiles lined up for release on February 5, 20201. They include:
- Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition (available on PlayStation 4)
- Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition (available on PlayStation 5)
- Nioh Remastered – The Complete Edition (available on PlayStation 5)
- The Nioh Collection (available on PlayStation 5)

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition will include Nioh 2 and all of its DLCs in one place for PS4 players. Players who have moved to the next generation can either go for Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition or Nioh Remastered – The Complete Edition whichever they want to play. Both of these collections will include the full game including all of the DLCs released for the titles. Players looking to get their hand on both titles on PS5 can go for the The Nioh Collection which will come with both games and all of their DLCs in a single package.
The PS5 variants will come with up to 4K resolution with up to 120FPS gameplay featuring ultra-fast load times and the ability to transfer your data from the PS4 version to the PS5 version allowing you to continue your saved games where you left on the PS4. If you cannot wait any longer to secure your copies, pre-orders for Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition, Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition, Nioh Remastered – The Complete Edition and The Nioh Collection are starting from Friday, November 20, 2020.
Also, if you already have Nioh 2 on your PS4 console, you can upgrade your game in two ways:
- Players that own Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition on PS4 can upgrade to Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition on PS5 at no additional cost.
- Players that own Nioh 2 on PS4 can upgrade to the base game – Nioh 2 Remastered on PS5 and receive the PS5 version of any DLC expansions they own on PS4.
Players who bought the disc version of Nioh 2 can also upgrade their copies if they own the PS5 console with a Blu-Ray disc drive. Simply insert your disc in the PS5 console and you will automatically get the PS5 version of the game however you will need to have the PS4 disc inside your console to play the game.
