The Knightling Demo Gameplay Trailer

Publisher Saber Interactive and indie developer Twirlbound have released the latest gameplay trailer for their upcoming title, The Knightling, during the Galaxies Showcase. The latest trailer gives us a detailed look at The Knightling’s open world, where our hero, equipped with his magic shield, is sliding around and taking out enemies much bigger than him. You can see a little bit of exploration, questing, combat, and platforming in the new trailer.

In The Knightling, you will take control of the plucky squire of Sir Lionstone, who is on a mission. Clesseia’s legendary guardian, Sir Lionstone, has gone missing, and now his squire is on a quest to find him. Using his master’s magic shield, he will journey across the realm’s many regions and become the hero that everyone needs. The new trailer gives us a good look at how quickly you can use the shield in combat, movement, exploration, and everything else. It is not just for defense, as you will use it to attack enemies, use it as a platform, and also slide across it in order to move around the map quickly.

Using the extraordinary abilities of Sir Lionstone’s bulwark, you will save the day. During combat, you will block, bash, and parry enemies in action-packed battles, and once the battles are over, you will be able to jump, slide, dash, and glide across the land to discover new locations and master towering platforming challenges. The world seems to be diverse and full of action, with a variety of enemy types and locations for you to explore on your journey.

The Knightling is slated for release on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on August 28, 2025. A free demo of the game is currently live on the game’s official Steam page, which gives you a small taste of what you can expect from the full game when it launches later this summer.
