Visual Novel The Game of Fourtune Gets Extensive Demo Ahead of Release

The Game of Fourtune Release Date

Blacklock Games has announced the release of a free extensive demo of their upcoming visual novel The Game of Fourtune. Inspired by names like Alice in Borderland, The Game of Fourtune is a visual novel that leads players to second-guess their choices as they help Clyde and Devon fight for their lives. Despite arriving together, the two characters may find themselves separated during this twisted game having to fend for themselves. Those who make it through all four rounds will get one of their wishes granted.

The latest demo of The Game of Fourtune features four hours of gameplay which will allow you to experience the first of the 16 original routes. The Game of Fourtune is set in a complex world run by the Digits of Eden, an underground criminal organization. The game involves players fighting, scheming, and outsmarting one another to survive a god’s deadly game. The game offers multiple routes, scenarios, and decisions that will introduce you to each of the 16 characters. As you learn more about these characters and why they are participating in the game as it will allow you to solve the mystery behind the Digits of Eden.

Kenneth Norris, BlackLock Games commented:

As a fan of death games in all sorts of forms, I wanted to create my own spin on them and contribute to the genre that I loved.  Especially Alice in Borderland, I wanted to create a game setting with an interesting cast of characters that would react differently to the death games, to each other, to events that happen in their world.  To break down and to rise up.

Key features of The Game of Fourtune include:

  • Character-Driven Story: Play as Clyde and Devon as they figure out how to make it out of the Game of Fourtune alive. With 14 other players in this game, each with their own agenda, secrets, and goals, you’ll have to remain alert, learning more about each of them along the way.
  • 16 Unique Routes: Throughout the game, you will go on 16 unique routes for each character you meet. These routes will be split between the perspective of Clyde and Devon and will feature different games and interactions. Each route will reveal more about a character’s desires, their past, and why they’re fighting for their lives in The Game of Fourtune.
  • Puzzles and Death Games Galore:  Each route has a variety of puzzles and death games to explore. Some are games of trust and chance, others will test your ability to read your opponent or your teammates, and others are just flat-out brawls. You can never be certain of what kind of games await you!
  • An Elegant and Expanding Flow Chart: Keep track of your progress through The Game of Fourtune using the flowchart system. A simple and elegant way to branch out to different paths and discover what routes are yet to be discovered.
  • Uncover The Greater Plot and Mystery: Even among the death games, some characters are planning schemes and plots that go beyond The Game of Fourtune itself. Some for themselves, some for redemption, some for others in power. Unravel the mysteries, discover the participant’s greater plans and how many of them are merely pawns as opposed to players. Maybe then, you’ll be able to achieve the best ending possible.
