2019 is almost gone and to celebrate the video game industry before we move on to the holidays, The Game Awards 2019 took place tonight and it was an amazing show. We got to see tons of new announcements and World Premieres of games we can expect to see in 2020 and beyond as well as the winners of The Game Awards 2019. Microsoft also made a surprise reveal of their next-gen console Xbox Series X as well during tonight’s show.

However, the main purpose of tonight’s show was to award the hard-working developers who have been working hard these previous years to deliver some of the best games to us. Fans of these games had been voting for their favorite games of 2019 and tonight we finally got to see which game won the prestigious Game of the Year 2019 award along with many other categories rewarding developers, eSports teams and players as well as the characters featured in these brilliant games.
