The Division 2 Second Eight Player Raid Operation Iron Horse Gets Release Date

The Division 2 Operation Iron Horse

Ubisoft has announced the release date of the second eight-player raid of The Division 2, Operation Iron Horse. Operation Iron Horse will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 30, 2020, and will arrive in the form of a free content update. It will be free for both The Division 2 base game and the Warlord of the New York expansion pack holders.

The highly-anticipated Operation Iron Horse will allow you to head to a foundry where the True Sons are manufacturing weapons as they devise a plan to re-establish their grip over Washington D.C. Players will need to be on top of their teamwork and solo play because this raid will truly test the mettle of even the most experienced agents in the game.

Players who own Warlords of New York and have already completed the game will be around Level 40 and they will be able to jump in the raid without any delays. However, players who only own the base game and are maxed out at Level 30 will need to wait until July 7 when a Level 30 version of Operation Iron Horse will be released. Base game players can only jump in this Level 30 version of the raid.

Ubisoft has been learning and listening closely to fan feedback from the first eight-player raid of the game and thus this brand new eight-player raid is more refined and challenging than the first one. It will come with new puzzles and mechanics that will be focused on teamwork. Enemies and bosses will require careful planning and strategy. During the raid, players will be able to nab some exclusive loot as well such as:

  • Ravenous exotic double-barrel rifle
  • Regulus exotic revolver
  • Foundry Bulwark gear set
  • Future Initiative gear set
  • And other unique rewards

Ubisoft has also announced that Race to the World First is back with the release of the second eight-player raid. The first team on each platform who completes Operation Iron Horse will have their team photo and names displayed in a portrait in the White House in The Division 2 for all players to see. Twitch drops are also making a comeback. Twitch Drops will be available with select Twitch partners and will only be available from June 30, 5 PM CEST to July 2, 2 PM CEST.
