Developer Awaceb and publisher Kepler Interactive have announced that their open-world island adventure game Tchia has crossed a million players, six weeks after its launch on the PlayStation consoles and PC.
In celebration of this milestone, the developer of the game has released a brand-new accolades trailer that you can watch below.
Additionally, the game’s pre-orders for the physical editions on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are now live. Tchia physical edition on the consoles will be launching on July 18, 2023.
The physical version of Tchia comes after Awaceb’s partnership with Maximum Games. The physical Oléti edition includes a cosmetic pack inspired by Kepler Interactive’s family of games. Customize your boat, ukulele, glider and even Tchia’s outfit with items and looks from Kepler’s suite of games including Sifu, Scorn, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn and Cat Quest-inspired designs.
In Tchia, you will take the role of a young adventurer called Tchia, who ventures out to save her father from the hands of the archipelago’s tyrannical ruler, Maevora. You have to face Maevora’s mindless minions called Maano and use your creativity as well as some mystical tools that include soul-jumping and a magical ukulele to defeat the fabric creatures once and for all.
Along the way in your adventure, immersive yourself in a world inspired by the small island nation of New Caledonia. From the island’s unique landmarks and biomes to the unique cultures of the people that call it home. The game has been praised by critics for its charming physics-based sandbox that begs to be explored with a sense of childlike wonder. Tchia offers a breathtaking look at a part of the world that many have never seen before, resulting in its quick growth in numbers and crossing 1 million players.
