Video game publisher Hooded Horse and Firesquid have announced the return of TactiCon for this year as the 2023 edition of the convention will take place in May. TactiCon is a video game convention that is dedicated to strategy games of all kinds from across the globe and the 2023 edition is all geared up for another successful convention. The very first TactiCon was held back in September 2022, and following its success, TactiCon 2023 is taking place this year from May 11, 2023 to May 15, 2023.

Games falling in different genres such as grand strategy, 4X, SRPG, turn-based deckbuilding, RTS, or anything in between are eligible for taking part in TactiCon 2023. The platform will provide developers with another place to showcase their strategy games. Submissions are now open and all interested developers can submit their games to take part in the event. The following types of games are eligible for event submissions:
- Games released (either into Steam Early Access, from Steam Early Access into 1.0, or a direct v1.0 release) during or after May 2022.
- Games not yet released but that will have a playable demo ready for the event.
- Older games that had a major content update, or new DLC, released during or after May 2022.
The organizers have also announced that another round of panels and live talks for TactiCon 2023 will also be hosted, with sessions from a wide range of participating developers and games. Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender comments:

TactiCon 2022 seemed to attract a lot of attention and for this year, the organizers are aiming for an even bigger audience and participants. Some key stats of TactiCon 2022 are:
- Over 1,500,000 unique visitors to the event page.
- Approximately 5,000 average wishlists gained per participating game.
- Nine crafted panels/talks and over 40 hours of exclusive live developer streams.
The submissions for TactiCon 2023 are now open and if you are interested in submitting your game, you only have until March 24, 2023, to submit your game for the organizers to review it. You can submit your games using the official form. As long as you fit in the game submission criteria, there is no other requirement on how big your studio or publisher is.
