Developer and publisher Wonder People has announced the early access release date of its FPS battle royale called Super People. Wonder People recently held its final beta test from August 17 to August 31 and it was one of the best test sessions for the title so far. The game saw a huge surge in traffic and a lot of people experienced an early build of the game to help the developers strain-test the servers of the game before it goes live for public next month.
During the two-week final beta test, Super People attracted over one million players from around the world with around 240,000 active users logging in daily. The Super People Final Beta ranked 1st in Trending Games (Popular New Releases) on Steam and it was also in the top 20 most played Steam games while it was live on the platform. Super People is also the only game in the beta testing phase to rank in the top 25 peak concurrent viewers for August on Twitch.
Wonder People also held Super Tournaments across 5 regional servers of the game where all players could participate to receive cash prizes. Top streamers such as Shroud and DrDisresepect were among some of the content creators who played the title during its two-week test. The game also attracted global influencers from countries such as Korea, Japan and Thailand, and many others. Super People sets itself apart from other battle royale titles as it features unique character abilities, skills, and crafting systems.
After the final beta was over, Wonder People held a developer livestream with Director Seong-Gon Park, Business Team Leader Seoung-Chul Ji, and E-sports Team Leader Sun-ho Lee who all discussed their thoughts on preparing for the final beta and changes that will be made for early access. During the livestream, Demolisher, a new class for the game was also revealed that will be part of the Super People Early Access when it launches. Demolisher comes with powerful abilities such as a grenade-firing shoulder launcher and explosive RC car.
