Square Enix is Holding a Weeklong FINAL FANTASY XIV Livestream from Mogchute Farm

Square Enix is currently holding a weeklong livestream hosted at MOGCHUTE FARM in celebration of its upcoming launch of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Island Sanctuary. Island Sanctuary is a new type of casual solo content releasing in Patch 6.2 as the next major update for FINAL FANTASY XIV and it will release on August 23, 2022. The weeklong livestream started on August 15, and it will run until August 19, 2022.

The livestream will allow players to experience life on a farm from the comfort of their own homes as they look forward to the release of Island Sanctuary. Island Sanctuary allows players to build and customize their own personal farm in-game on an island paradise abundant with wildlife as they gather materials, build facilities, care for creatures and do additional tasks which are required for maintaining and running your farms. The livestream will feature some farmyard favorites including pigs, goats, and chickens with several surprised planned in the middle. Anyone who tunes in the livestream will be able to follow their daily routines of feeds, frolics, and festivities, and will be invited to vote on what the animals will be fed on stream.

  • 9:15am – 9:30am BST
  • 4:00pm – 4:15pm BST

The Mogchute Farm is based in London, United Kingdom, and is taking place at Mudchute Farm, a registered charity with the care of the environment as its mission. Mudchute Farm was founded in 1977 and it is set in 32 acres of green space which are open to everyone and offers views across London. Square Enix has already detailed the upcoming update last week during the Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast.

In it, FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida showcased the first demonstration of Island Sanctuary and additional details of the Patch 6.2 were also discussed including the continuation of the main scenario questline, PvP updates, Pandæmonium: Abyssos, and more. The complete list is available on the official website of the game. FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Patch 6.1 was released back in April 2022.
