Spiritfarer Lily Update Arrives Just in Time to Celebrate 500,000 Copies Sold

Spiritfarer Lily Update

Thunder Lotus Games has announced that its critically-acclaimed title Spiritfarer has sold more than 500,000 copies and it manages to reach this milestone right as the first update of three free updates dubbed Lily arrives for the game. Lily is the first of the three previously-announced free updates for the game that will be released in 2021 for the title. Lily is now available for all platforms worldwide.

In Spiritfarer Lily, players will get to play alongside a new character Lily the Butterfly Spirit that will guide them through several scenes to add depth and detail to the main character Stella’s story. The update also brings plenty of improvements for the game overall and fixes some of the bugs reported by the players. Check out the new update Lily trailer below:

Creative Director Nicolas Guerin detailed in the official press release:

As ever, the updates we’re bringing to Spiritfarer this year are all about the fans—those who helped make this our studio’s most popular game ever. We wanted to keep the Lily update small, to address the single most common feedback we’ve received from players since launch: fans want to know more about Stella and what, ultimately, her quest is about. It’s the emotional core of the game, so we wanted to get it right; Lily offers a sweet and personal window onto who Stella is, and we hope the players like what we’ve done with this update. The 500,000 units milestone is huge for us, and felt like a fitting time to add Lily—meanwhile, we’re putting the finishing touches on the more gameplay-heavy updates to come. Stay tuned!

You can now update your game on your desired platform and experience the new Lily update in Spiritfarer. The game is out on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia. You can also play it with Xbox Game Pass.
