Developer Infuse Studio and publisher Merge Games have announced the release date of their upcoming title Spirit of the North. The Nordic-inspired puzzle adventure game will release on May 7, 2020, on Nintendo Switch and PC and pre-orders will begin on Nintendo eShop starting from April 30, 2020.
The brand new title Spirit of the North is a singleplayer third-person adventure game that is inspired by the beautiful and mysterious landscapes of Iceland. The story takes root from various pieces of Nordic folklore as players play as an ordinary red fox whose story becomes entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights.
As you journey across the icy world, you discover more about your companion and a land left in ruins. You will explore icy tundras, glaciers, and mountainsides as you follow a foreboding scarlet trail that paints the sky. The gameplay of Spirit of the North involves exploration and puzzle-solving as you speculate the meaning of a lost ancient civilization. Your new companion will shed light on the ruins and help you get past the obstacles along the way.

During the early days of the game’s release, the publisher is offering a 20% introductory price discount which will run from April 30, 2020, to May 20, 2020, on Nintendo eShop. Steam players will be able to purchase the game with a 15% discount from May 7, 2020, to May 14, 2020.
