SEGA comes with good news for Sonic fans as it announced the Sonic Origins launch, digitally on consoles and PC. The all-new game collection reintroduces the fan-favorite 2D Sonic titles that were originally released on SEGA Genesis and Mega Drive.
SEGA has developed the remaster itself and promises to bring the legendary, nonstop action that Sonic brought in the original games. But the remaster brings improved visuals, added features, new content, and new game modes among other things.

With Sonic Origins, Sonic fans new and returning can celebrate the classic Sonic games that built the legendary franchise into what it is today. With new remastered visuals, characters, game modes, game zones and more, Sonic Origins brings the best of the original Sonic titles to the modern day.
Join Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in this remastered adventure to race at lightning-fast speed. Levels from the original games make a return where you can zoom through Green Hill Zone, and Chemical Plant Zone for a classic Sonic the Hedgehog experience.
The game will launch digitally and will be available in two versions, where the standard contains the base game, while the Digital Deluxe Edition comes with difficult missions, letter box, characters in main menu, island camera on main menu, character animation in music playback, and exclusive tracks from the Mega Drive titles.
Sonic Origins is set to launch on June 23, 2022, which is also Sonic’s birthday, available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Sega of America has been releasing a lot of Sonic the Hedgehog over the last few months and a couple of years. With partnerships with Medal Dash, G Fuel, Jakks Pacific, and even Numskull, there is plenty of Sonic the Hedgehog merch that includes countdown calendars, holiday gifts, G Fuel flavored energy drinks, figurines, plush toys, and many more items.
