SNK Corporation has announced that the publisher will have its own booth at EVO 2022, the world’s biggest fighting gaming tournament. Evolution Championship Series 2022 or EVO 2022 is taking place this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from August 5, to August 7, 2022. During the event, KOF XV has been selected as one of the main titles. Fans will be able to enjoy the heated competition to determine the World Champion of KOF XV.
Details on the EVO 2022 KOF IV Tournament along with live streaming schedule will be announced at a later stage. Along with the KOV XV Tournament, EVO 2022 will also feature an SNK exhibit and a variety of related events as well. SNK will have its booth in the Bayside Exhibit Halls in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from August 5 to August 6, 2022. Visiting the exhibition will allow you to play the KOF XV DLC TEAM AWAKENED OROCHI before it is released.
It will also feature a play corner where fans will be able to play the TEAM AWAKENED OROCHI DLC characters for KOF XV which is coming out in August 2022. Apart from this, the play area will also feature retro titles and SAMURAI SHODOWN for the fans to try them. On August 5 and 6, KOF XV Chief Producer Yasuyuki Oda and KOF XV Game Director Kaito Soranaka will hold signing sessions. The timings will be announced for the photograph session at a later date.
The SNK Museum will feature classic SNK gems from the past where you will also find region-specific collector edition items, marvelous illustrations, and more. Fans will also be able to take photos at the SNK Booth Photo Area and tweet it out with the hashtag #SNKEVO to enter our exclusive raffle. Various prizes include limited-edition games, and special KOF XV t-shirts and every entrant will also receive a complimentary EVO 2022 present.
On August 5, 2022, KOF XV Chief Producer Yasuyuki Oda, Assistant Producer Joshua Weatherford, and Game Director Kaito Soranaka will hold a panel discussion on the development of the DLC TEAM AWAKENED OROCHI along with other SNK titles. A livestream of the event is also planned, and its details will be announced at a later stage. August 5 will also see the SNK Sound Team hosting a live session video of selected songs from SNK’s most popular series including KOF, SAMURAI SHODOWN, and FATAL FURY. Additional details will soon follow.
The ten/o booth will also feature exclusive KOF XV original t-shirts and other popular SNK goods straight from Japan for sale. Along with this, Nintendo Switch controller skins for SAMURAI SHODOWN and NEOGEO stickers will also be given away. Items will be limited on the booth and you will need to visit the ten/o booth for additional details. To celebrate KOF XV participating in EVO 2022, the game will also be available for sale on various platforms. SNK will reveal additional details through its Twitter account.
